2025 was better than I ever could’ve imagined. I met a lot of amazing people and got to visit 9 different states for the first time, along with seeing incredible cities that I never got to see before. I’m not sure that I’ve ever traveled or driven more in a single calendar year before, but I absolutely loved getting to be on the road as much as I did in 2025.

For the first time in my life I played more shows in a year than I went to. I actively went to as many shows as I could (24) and was fortunate enough to play 28 shows, with 4 of those being with @trauermond.nh and @coldsignalfires.

I also got to accomplish one of the biggest goals I set for myself, which was to play shows outside of the US. Everyone who came out to shows in Canada made me feel extremely welcome. I will absolutely be back to the Great White North to perform again!

Thank you to everyone who was a part of the shows I played in 10 different US states. I’m still heartbroken that I couldn’t make it to the shows in Georgia, Florida, North Carolina, and Virginia, but I’ll definitely tour the US again and will make it out to those states for sure.

Deciding to play live as Distorting a Woodpecker was one of the greatest choices I’ve ever made, and I’m extremely fortunate that it allowed me to make such amazing friends in the noise scene.

I already have a lot of exciting things coming up for 2026, and I’m really looking forward to sharing more about that in the next few months!

Incredibly excited and honored to announce this fall tour I’m doing with Junkyard Burial! Being a part of any tour is an honor, and it’s even more of a privilege to get to tour with these legends! Individual flyers for each date will be shared soon, if you live in these areas come out to a show and witness the desecration of Appalachia.

And if you come out to the 11/15 show in Haverhill, MA you’ll get to see an exclusive collab set with me and @vile.remains 👀

A huge dream of mine was accomplished this week. After years of going to dozens of shows at the Middle East in Cambridge I finally got the opportunity to play at the venue and on my favorite stage to see shows at the venue. Massive thank you to @middle_east_nightclub_history for allowing us to have a noise show at their legendary venue! Thank you so much to everyone who came to the show! Thank you to @retribution_body @clew_of_theseus @belangertaylor @departmentofindustrialaccident @nstoeckel470 @ant.noize @vile.remains for playing! Very grateful I got to accomplish such a huge goal of mine with close friends and fantastic artists both on the bill and in attendance.

I’m extremely fortunate to say I’ll be returning to the Middle East later this month to play another show there! Please come out on 8/27 to see the legendary acts @crankst @cador42 @woodsmattress @radiator.fr perform!

It’s surreal to get to announce this but I’m very excited to share that @distortingawoodpecker will be opening this insanely stacked show at the Middle East Upstairs in Cambridge, MA on 7/30. I’ve been going to shows at the Middle East for years and have always loved that venue and the different stages it has for shows. I truly believe the upstairs stage is the best room with its intimate setting and great live sound. I made a list awhile ago of music goals I want to accomplish and I feel both grateful and ecstatic to get to cross playing a show at the Middle East off of my list. I’ve seen so many bands I admire deeply at the Middle East, it’s an honor to get to play the same stage that they did.

There are so many amazing electronic artists playing this show, I highly encourage anyone who’s a fan of experimental music, drone, ambient, noise, doom metal, and really cool music gear to come to this show!

The link to buy tickets is in my bio. I can’t wait to experience this remarkable show with everyone.

After nearly 3 years since our first practice as a band, Trauermond is proud to share our first live album from our debut show last month. Eternal Hails to everyone who helped make this show in Portsmouth, New Hampshire possible, and to those who were not there to be massacred by unconquerable black metal, dimly lit by candlelight, please enjoy this recording to hear what you unfortunately missed out on.

Last month I finally got to accomplish a dream I’ve had since I got into playing music at a young age. I had the amazing opportunity to host a DIY show at the home I was living in. I’m incredibly fortunate that this dream became a reality and thank you so much to everyone that made this possible. Thank you to @trauermond_nhbm and @coldsignalfires and @vile.remains, who all got to play live for the first time ever. Of course, I will forever be thankful to everyone who came to the show and made it home safely during the snow storm. I don’t know when I’ll ever be able to host something like this again, but I’m extremely happy that we were all able to be a part of such a memorable and fun night.

The debut demo from Cøld Signal Fires comes out tonight and the live recordings from the house show will be released in the coming weeks! I look forward to all of these acts playing live again in the future.

Also forgot to post this but I’m so thankful I got to go to an absolutely amazing show with some people I love and care about a lot! It’s not often we all get to go to events together as a group, and it’s even more uncommon for our favorite bands to embark on an incredible tour together. This was truly one of the best nights of the year. Eternal Hails to Mayhem, Gorguts, Blood Incantation, and everyone who made last weekend memorable to say the least.
