14th of December

One year ago, I arrived in Dubai for what was meant to be a temporary trip — my friend @lunadieez already knew I would never go back to London.

Today, I’m in my own apartment, which I call “petite palace” as is quite petite, but for now, it’s home.

My experience at @lestrodesign has been amazing. I couldn’t ask for more in terms of work environment or professional growth. It’s one of those rare places where I never think, “Oh no, tomorrow is Monday,” because I genuinely enjoy every day.

Yesterday, we also launched our new event label, The VAK Soirée, with more projects quietly developing in the background.

This year taught me a lot — about myself and about others. I learned that transparency and humility are essential, as is knowing your own worth.

Life reminded me another year more, that I’m supported by incredible friends and meaningful new connections.

For someone who truly enjoys being alone, I’ve learned that two minds are often better than one. And no matter how cool a place is, if it’s not shared with the right people, its lose value. People matter — a lot.

Always grateful for every day, and for every positive and negative experience life brings
