Lots of soul, R&B and funk classics in our latest trade-in! (Yes I know Bob Marley isn't exactly any of those, but he's kind of all of the above, know what I mean?) Anyway, stop by and find your new favorite record! #Waukegan #RecordStore #DowntownWaukegan #ShopLocal #NewMusicMonday

I had the privilege of being interviewed for the website https://vinylpackman.com { @vinylpackman } an awesome site for finding record shops all over the U.S. We are certainly honored to be listed among some incredible shops here in Texas and those across the country. A big shout out to Mike for including us and having patience while me and my partners { @quasar.recordstx @deadman_wax } worked through his set of question. It’s opportunities like this thar makes my transition (in 5 months) from a corporate worker bee to a hustling small business owner so much easier. Thanks to Mike, my partners, Lone Star Mercantile @lsmercantile and especially our customers - As always “Thanks for digging us!”

@vinylpackman asked me some questions…. I answered. 😇 We talked about how Midnite Moon came to be, what it’s like running a record shop in a tiny mountain town, the weird and wonderful people who wander through the door, buying collections, rare records, and why this little shop has become so much more than just a place to buy vinyl. One of my favorite things about Midnite Moon has always been the people - hearing their stories, discovering music through them, and getting to be a tiny part of the way music keeps moving from one person to another. That part still feels pretty magical to me. 🌙 Thanks @vinylpackman for taking the time to feature my strange little upstairs world in Idyllwild. 🥰 #MidniteMoon #Idyllwild #RecordStore #VinylCommunity #IndependentRecordStore

Drank too much coffee (as I do) and fired off a few million word responses (as I do) in an email reply to Mike over at Vinylpackman.com. Interview is up there today. Someone somewhere might find some of these choice nuggets of truth and wisdom about our shop and the record biz interesting.
