The first time I ever heard @ussmusic I was in my first car driving to a friendβs house. @1021theedge premiered the song βHollowpoint Sniper Hyperboleβ and I was instantly blown away! I ended up calling into the station to ask who this was? The name was so long and complicated though that I had to write it down on a sticky note and it barely fit on it π. I looked everywhere online and scoured YouTube too for anymore music I could find from this band. Later that year a big group of us planned to go see USS headline at the Sound Academy (now @rebeltoronto). It turned out to be a massive snow storm that night and most things were closing or getting cancelled. A friend of ours who was supposed to join us to the show had sadly passed away a couple weeks before the show. We decided we would still make the trek no matter how hard in her honour. @erykmancini @atwilk and I were the first 3 people in line for the show and the it looked like not many others were coming out that night. The show was incredible and USS played a whole bunch of new tunes that would eventually end up on their first full length βQuestamationβ. That was the first of the eventual 32 times I would see USS live over the next 12 years...
