Loch Morlich Circular - a beautiful route around a beautiful loch. Little elevation and perfect for a 5km running route if you need one.

Loch an Eilein Circular - another beautiful loop around a lovely loch with a castle on a island in the middle 🏰

An Lochan Uaine - an out and back trail starting in Glenmore to a lovely emerald shaded loch. It has only just recently reopened after the horrific wildfires earlier this year. You can also carry on to Ryvoan Bothy 🏠

Craigellachie Circular is one of my favourite trails in Aviemore and it’s amazing for sunrise and sunset!

☕️ Head over to @oldbridgeinnaviemore after for delicious beer and food

Loch Einich is an amazing out and back trail. It’s probably the hardest of the hikes I’ve mentioned and the most remote, but the elevation is spread out over 12km so doesn’t feel too bad.

With high winds forecast from Saturday into Sunday, the safety of our visitors, team and local communities must come first.

As a precaution, Blair Castle & Gardens will be closed on Sunday 25th October due to the forecast conditions associated with Storm Boelo. Depending on the impact of the storm, the closure may be extended to Monday 26th October.

All visitors with pre-booked tickets are being contacted directly. If you have a booking and any concerns, please contact bookings@blair-castle.co.uk.

We also ask local communities and visitors to avoid entering wooded areas during this period due to the risks posed by high winds.

CAIRNGORMS | 1 Year 🤘🏻

It’s coming up for a year we’ve been living in the cairngorms and community has been at the heart of it especially during winter. Two weeks after moving into our 120 year old house I was waist deep in snow. Gotta love it 🤘🏻🏂 but we all looked out for each other and gathered the milk and bread when needed.

That community feel is strong up here and one I’ve loved when we’ve spent a few Fridays @dellofabernethy chatting to strangers, laughing, watching the kids play happily and getting to meet some amazing food vendors. @rikskitchen @highlandslice

So when people say “highland life suits you Claire” I’ll take that as the biggest compliment ever because I’ve never felt so calm and relaxed in my life.

I’m HOME! 🤎🍂

Hidden amongst the trees on Ardverikie Estate, Pattack Falls carves through a narrow rocky pine-lined gorge.

The lower falls are easily accessible from the car park, while the more dramatic falls (featured in the video) are accessed by a walking trail.
