We were MEGA impressed! Clean, space, play, fun, friendly, tasty & warm! 🌧🙌🥰

I have always been reluctant to visit here, totally proved wrong - we had a great time & loved the spooky/tasty halloween treats too! ☕️👻🎃🧡

The staff were very friendly upon arrival (Jude 🙌)! It felt warm & looked VERY clean. No sticky spaces or mats & the staff were always tidying up when there. Great play areas, baby area & reading area too.

Lovely/easy table spaces - nice for a chill out while the kids zoom & slide around the play unit!

We would totally go back - 100% 🙌🧡🙌

Ps - the gluten free blondie was delish & the honeycomb hot choc... OOOOO 🥰

A ribbon cut, a procession, and a whole lot of community spirit! 🎉✂️❤️

What a way to celebrate the grand reopening of The Wilson Museum Wing!

From @tweedyclown (and keef) cutting the ribbon, to the Improviser's orchestra leading the procession, thank you to everyone who came together to mark the start of this exciting new chapter for our museum.

I need to make some containers for our wrapping paper for Christmas and New range of birthday and occasion paper.

Decided to reuse the card spinner box which took the width of the door.

I need to cover it now in fabric and so that's my next job .

🇵🇭 Kanto, Dunkertons AD

New season means some banging new dishes launched @kantochelt the masters of Filipino street food 😍.

Perfect for the autumn weather the dishes were warming, had a good amount of spice and most importantly really tasty! 👏🏼

- Gata Red Curry with crispy duck. Served in a rich red curry with coconut milk, pineapple, courgettes, cherry tomatoes, fragrant basil & chilli. Served with plain steamed jasmine rice.
- Special Wok Fried Rice with mixed duck & chicken. Egg fried rice with mixed wok vegetables.
- Adobong Mani. Filipino-style roasted de-shelled monkey peanuts with crispy garlic, sea salt & chilli.

I looooved the curry! Was very moreish and enjoyed the heat from the right amount of chilli 🌶️🥰.

A slightly different reading wrap up for the café last week as we had the Cheltenham Literature Festival on just up the road from us! It’s one of our busiest weeks of the year so I was busy spying not just on the books at the tables but on what events people were chatting about most! Here are just a few of the things @thetimes and @cheltfestivals had for us!

Quite a bonkers week this week!

Pic.1 accompanied mum to her church harvest festival despite not being religious. Only seven people there, so sat wondering about how long rural churches like this will survive.
2. Two visits to Cheltenham this week, first for school trousers, the second to take my mother who needed some bits and bobs. I used to work on the high street but now only visit two or three times a year!
3, 4 & 5. Birthday celebrations, fruit cake, chutney, candles and an evening at the driving range.
6. The boy and his dog @alfie.bradshawww
7, 8 & 9. A visit to @lewisandwood learning all about the business, hugely inspiring with such interesting and passionate people.
10. Ended the week with my mother rushed to hospital with symptoms presenting as a possible heart attack, which thankfully was ruled out, but we found out she has left branch bundle block (cue lots of searching online to find out what that was) apparently diagnosed in April but not communicated to her or followed up. She might have angina, who knows? A follow up in the chest pain department soon. To be continued! But she’s back home and didn’t have to stay in and the staff looking after her were wonderful.
