The Christmas Grotto is returning to @webbsgc Cheltenham 🎄

From Saturday 5 December to Thursday 24 December, families can wander through the traditional grotto, post letters to Santa and mix their own reindeer food to take home ready for Christmas Eve. Families can also meet Santa in his cosy cabin, choose a toy and decorate festive gingerbread 🎅

From Saturday 17 to Sunday 25 October, Clubcard members can also enjoy 10% off Christmas department items 🚨

Alongside seasonal displays and festive finds, visitors can enjoy a complimentary glass of fizz and a mince pie while browsing 🛍️

I took a lovely friend out for dinner last night (sorry, James!) to Cheltenham’s newest Indian restaurant, @bandookkitchen. The location in Montpellier is excellent, and the building itself is beautiful.

We tucked into some seriously good grub, starting with Pani Puri and Batata Vada Pav (can anything beat fried potato in a bread roll?!). For mains, we went for Butter Chicken and Chicken Tikka, alongside Peshwari Naan, rice and some delicious daal that I wouldn’t usually choose but really added to it. To finish, we shared an Indian style rice pudding and some deep-fried Indian doughnuts.

The food was excellent, and the Chicken Tikka was up there with the best I’ve ever had. I literally order it every time I eat Indian food, so that’s saying something!

What I really loved was the mix of traditional Indian favourites you’d expect to find alongside a great selection of street food style options that offer something a little different. It’s also one of those places that feels special while still being relaxed, which is always a good combination!

Thank you, @bandookkitchen, for having us. We’d absolutely recommend giving it a visit!

Christmas magic returns to @cotswoldfarmpark 🎄

From meeting Father Christmas in his cosy grotto to choosing a special gift, creating a cuddly companion in the Teddy Bear Workshop and toasting marshmallows around the fire, there's plenty to delight little ones at Christmas on the Farm 🐑

Families can enjoy festive treats, decorate gingerbread and spend time with the farm's friendly animals, making it a memorable Christmas day out just a short drive from Cheltenham.

Think this is my 5th time to Cheltenham Literary Festival? Always a highlight to enter the autumn season 🍂 📚

A v short trip this year as I was only there for the first weekend but I still managed to see 3 wonderful events on the Saturday: hearing from all the @thebookerprizes shortlisted authors with Gaby Woods, sitting in a jam packed tent captivated by Maggie O’Farrell’s every word on her latest and most personal novel, Land, and then hearing a great conversation with debut authors Madeline Cash and Stacey Yu on what it means to write their first novel and their debut experience.

Also spent some quality time catching up with @sammys.book.nook and ivy the dog 🐶 💙

If you haven’t been to a literary festival before then @cheltfestivals is definitely one of the best with an excellent line up, set in a beautiful historical town (I love heading into town to do a bit of shopping 😋) and giving all the literary festive vibes.

The festival is on all week until 18 Oct so do check out if you haven’t time to go this year! Otherwise def plan for next 🤗

Cheltenham’s newest Indian eatery has arrived to rave reviews 🇮🇳

Fine dining Indian cuisine is where Bandook’s story began in Bath and Bristol, before branching out and creating modern, casual Indian street food that has certainly made an impression in Cheltenham.

Opening in early September, they’re serving up deliciously fresh dishes that reflect their authentic home-cooked style. We were super impressed with everything we ordered, with each dish demonstrating huge skill and beautiful presentation, while retaining the warming comfort you look for in superb Indian food.

Pani Puri, Samosa Chaat & Punjabi Lamb Chops
Lucknowi Parda Lamb Biryani, Old Delhi Style Butter Chicken, Daal Makhani & Plain Naan

This is seriously a spot we can see ourselves returning to again and again; fantastic food, brilliant service, chilled relaxed vibes - if you haven’t visited yet, get booking.
