Some sleepy catsharks from the last week’s dive around Eastbourne pier.
Really didn’t expect to see this many here but it was a very pleasant surprise! 🦈

I explored Eastbourne underwater for the first time today and it did not disappoint! 🦈

Who doesn't love an open topped bus, especially on a sunny day, and we seem to be getting some of those now.
Particularly if you've never been to the area before, it's a great way to get a feel of what's around you before you go off and explore in more detail. The other thing I love is that the guides often know lots of interesting bits of info about the area. Sometimes, things that you don't hear about anywhere else.
The bus stops at 15 points in all and works on the 24 hour hop on hop off system. Starting from 10 am, they run every half hour until late afternoon.

The nearest stop to The Laundry is Birling Gap, which is less than 10 minutes by car or approximately an hour and a quarters walk.
There's also a very good NT cafe at Birling Gap for refreshments

Chris and his father Robin enjoyed a Back by Lunch Tour yesterday. South Downs Tours picked them up from the station and on a bright but chilly day, took them up to #beachyhead where visibility was good enough to see the buildings of Brighton. Then on to #BirlingGap pictured here on the beach. Then onto #seafordhead to see and take a photo of the iconic view of the #sevensisters. Then into #alfriston for a wander round and some refreshment before returning to Eastbourne seafront (with a small detour to see #thelongman)
Check out the website www.southdownstours.co.uk to see set dates for the Back by Lunch Tour and book direct. Or email info@southdownstours.co.uk for availability of alternative dates.

This breathtaking natural spectacle occurs during the autumn and winter months, as starlings gather at dusk to create mesmerizing aerial displays before roosting for the night. Watching these birds move in perfect harmony is not only a visual delight but also incredibly therapeutic, offering a moment of peace and reflection. The presence of the full moon adds an extra layer of magic to the scene, making this a truly unforgettable sight.
