How amazing was last night? We were at the @thebrindleytheatre Studio yesterday for the Made in Halton; Forged in Adventure finale show🧙‍♀️🪄 @dawnstargamingcic were awarded an Apsire Grant as part of Culture 26 to deliver this D&D project, and yesterday evening saw the story, which has been developed over a number of sessions, being brought together in a live action show. ✨The audience got the chance to meet some wonderful characters and participate in the action with some super large D&D dice spinning, with lots of ‘natural 20’s’ being scored. We hope that all of those who attended enjoyed it just as much as we did! Let us know what you thought in the comments 👇 #CutivateHalton #culture26 #visithalton #dungeonsanddragons

📣 HALTON, THIS IS YOUR CALL TO ARMS! ❤️🌉 Our beautiful community, I need YOU! My new charity single, “Two Bridges – An Anthem for Halton”, is out on November 27th, and I want to make the video something truly special — a celebration of the people, places and community that make Halton what it is. ❤️ And I want as many of you as possible to be part of it! 📸 Here’s how you can get involved: 🎥 Send me a photo or a short 3–6 second video of yourself, your family or your friends with either one or both of our bridges in the background. Smile, wave, hold up a sign saying who you are, represent your local business, get your mates together — whatever you like! Be creative, be yourselves, and show everyone what makes our community special. Whether you’re a lifelong Haltonian, (I think that’s a thing) a local business owner, part of a family that’s been here for generations, or simply someone who loves this place, I want YOU in this video! The aim is simple: bring as many people together as possible and create a real sense of pride, unity and community. Let’s show everyone what Halton is all about! 🙌❤️ 📩 HOW TO GET INVOLVED Send your photo or video to The Far North’s inbox on Facebook or Instagram, (or here on LinkedIn) and I’ll take care of the rest! Let’s fill this video with familiar faces, local pride and the amazing people who make Halton home. TWO BRIDGES. ONE COMMUNITY. ONE ANTHEM. Let’s make something special together, Halton. ❤️🌉 📅 OUT NOVEMBER 27TH All proceeds will be going to @halton_haven_hospice @widnesvikingsfoundation Ps - I’m trying to get the attention of the Widnes Vikings who I mention in the song and the new Mayor of Halton - can someone help me to get them to see this please? I’d like them in the video too! #Halton #silverjubileebridge #merseygateway #Runcorn #Widnes

My ode to the beautiful people and communities of Halton “Two Bridges - An Anthem For Halton” will be released on the 27th of November on all digital platforms. To have the lyrics immortalised on a beautiful and vibrant mural by @mallon_art is really something I’m incredibly proud of and I can’t wait for you all to hear the finished song, I hope it will make you proud of our borough and give you something to sing about in regards to our hometowns. I’ll be donating all the proceeds to local charities too as I want only positivity to come out of the release of the song. “It’s so easy to hate, it takes strength to be gentle and kind”. #halton #widnes #runcorn #silverjubileebridge #merseygatewaybridge

Yesterday was the first of the Halton Nature Watch special editions of Hazlehurst's Snap & Social photowalks. We were joined by the wonderfully knowledgeable Siobhan, an ecologist for Halton Borough Council. After a cold start we quickly warmed up by rooting through the undergrowth, to find examples of different species of invertebrates and vegetation. We encouraged the walk participants to upload photos of what they found onto the iNaturalist website. This will help give ecologists a better idea of what species are present within Halton. We all agreed that doing this project has definitely helped us see the tiny bugs and arachnids we previously disliked or were scared of in a whole new light. Siobhan also collected various specimens of fungus to make spore prints with. We're hoping to share some of the results from this on a later date so stay tuned for those! Please enjoy this snapshot of what we saw yesterday. Let us know in the comments which bugs are your favourites and what you'd like to spot on our next walk. Next Snap & Social: Saturday 14th November, 11am, Runcorn Hill Park. Booking link coming soon.
