One year ago today.

Exactly one year ago, we explored Padang Batu & Jaang Waterfallstwo of Malaysia’s most underrated hidden waterfalls.

Thirty strangers answered the call for adventure.

By the end of the journey, they weren’t strangers anymore. They became friends.

That’s what Stranger to Friend has always been about. Not just hiking. Not just chasing waterfalls. It’s about building genuine connections through shared adventures.

Looking back at these videos brings back so many memories. Funny enough… I never released most of this footage. 😅

Well… it’s finally time.

There are still so many hidden waterfalls in Malaysia waiting to be explored, and we’re just getting started.

Lata Kijang & Jeram Berungut (-m), Jelebu : Summit
.
Should have do both these falls 4 years ago, but it was just pending till this time I guess. The hike to these falls are not hard and its doable (beginner friendly). I find Jeram Berungut a bit challenging as it was a deep water pool, but I somehow survived. 🥶
.
The environment here is still pristine and highly preserved with appropriate accommodation for hikers and campers. I did this with a 2d1n trip staying in the provided hostel.
.
For some reason, this place had me so sleepy and I actually slept really well despite being in a new place (this does not happen always 😳). Its been a while since I enjoyed a trip like this, so it does feel good to be in such trips. 🤪
.
Overall it was a good trip organized by @keewin_oa and guided by Eswaran Anna (MGP N9). All the participants were happening and joyful. Good day, good hike and superb experience ! 💪🏻
