My heart is very tender after this weekend’s Lovemotion market. It was the best. The exhaustion from being on my feet for over 12 hrs was masked by the interactions with friends and the community that supports us all. If you chose to make @cloudmountainkombucha a stop in your day, sincerely thank you. I loved the offerings at this gathering. I loved seeing the “haul” pics. Was really proud of what I brought to the mix.

My body made it abundantly clear to me all last week that any more pop-ups of such a scale will be grossly rejected in the coming months. Lol. This is a wordy way to say, I think that was a last hoorah bake for me before baby. Not the last one, lawd no. But I am so easing my way out from here on, and that brings me a nice lil peaceful, easy feeling. Bread bake schedule has been slightly adjusted and I have some sneaky ideas for how I plan to help the dedicated bread seekers squirrel away bread if they so wish. I’ll be reaching out soon.

I am also trying to finish up a newsletter to better detail where my mind has been at as a small business owner, so intricately linked to all of the decisions I make running this bakery and the ones I have been making lately towards the future of it. I’ll get that out soon, wanted to pay respects to the @lovemotion217 crew asap. This weekend filled my soul cup. So grateful to my love Chase for being a true supporter of my endeavors. And my mom and Rebecca for being the two that so deeply hold a piece of Malcolm’s heart and keep him happy and loved so I can check in as a baker.

Just absolutely can’t wait to eat handfuls of this sweet & salty nut mix this week. Candied Voss pecans with citrus, brown sugar, and Aleppo peppers. Hazel Hearts hazelnuts candied and dipped in dark chocolate and then tossed in Dutch-processed cocoa. Organic Red Walnuts toasted with good olive oil, salt, and a chili mix. Kind of like that caramel and cheese popcorn combo, better together.

I’m stoked to talk all week about the Hibernation Solstice Market happening this next Saturday Dec 20th at @cloudmountainkombucha ! Me and a bunch of other local creators are collaborating on bringing this cozy, warm gathering to our community leading up to the darkest day of the year. Everyone is working hard right now to prepare unique and thoughtful offerings. All things that can become unique and thoughtful gifts for self or loved ones.

I cherish this season for gatherings. Being together with other humans. It’s crucial we keep spirit and magic and silliness and creative work alive. I am so excited about the collection of humans putting on this market. Hope so many of you swing through and grab treats. Can’t wait to see your bright smiles!

Holiday Bread & Sweets orders are rolling in! Thank you! You can still get your hands on some goodies for pick-up on the 23rd, link in my bio. So to clarify, baking on the 20th and baking on the 23rd! We’re in it.
