YACHTSTOCK IS COMING TO FLIBS!

The biggest yachtie party of the year is going BACK TO THE ’60s and this time, we’re turning up the volume, breaking out the bell bottoms, and getting ready to MAKE WAVES, NOT WAR!

Hosted by Yacht Chandlers, get ready for YACHTSTOCK, our 17th annual Captain & Crew Party inspired by the legendary summer of love.

YACHTSTOCK, CAPTAIN & CREW PARTY
Friday, October 30th

Hard Rock, @daersouthflorida
RSVP: See your Yacht Chandlers sales rep or a referring sponsor for the link

PEACE. LOVE. YACHTS.

Come as you are, or come dressed to impress in your best ’60s-inspired threads - think flower power, psychedelic prints, fringe, tie-dye, bell bottoms, boots, and plenty of peace signs.

Expect far-out beats, groovy vibes, flowing drinks, and a crowd of captains, crew, and yachties ready to let loose during another epic FLIBS.

A purser hack that sounds almost too obvious to mention👇

Take the charter card out and show it to the crew. Every charter.

Crew change, people join halfway through a season, and someone will inevitably be sent ashore to buy something in a hurry.

Most boats have separate accounts for charter spending and boat operations.

Just assuming that everyone knows which card they should use can land you in quite a pickle 🙃

Each HOD might be tracking their department’s purchases, but the charter accounts ultimately come back to the purser.

Before each charter, I show everyone what the card looks like, explain which purchases it’s for, and ask them to let me know whenever they use it.

It takes a couple of minutes and can save you a lot of chasing around later, trying to work out why a charter expense ended up on the boat’s account.

Even if you remember giving the briefing last time, someone onboard may be hearing it for the first time.

Save this for your next charter 🌊🌊

Today is World Mental Health Day and ISWAN is here to support you💙

Looking after your mind is part of life on board, just like looking after your body. Whether it’s a quick walk between services, a proper catch-up with a crewmate, or a call home on your day off, the small things add up.

And if something’s on your mind, big or small, or you’re worried about someone on your crew, YachtCrewHelp is there. It’s free, confidential and open 24/7, wherever you are in the world, and you’ll always speak to a real person.

Every year we publish this data not to alarm anyone, but because visibility is the first step to change.

Here’s the full picture of who contacted YachtCrewHelp in 2025, and what they needed.

Last call! Eco Sign-ups for Marathon for Mental Health close on 10 October, and we’d love to see crew on the start line (wherever that start line happens to be) 💙

The challenge is simple: cover 26.2 miles across October, however suits you. Run it, walk it, hike it, split it into tiny chunks between 14+ hour working days. No finish line clock, no one checking your pace.

Founded by former yacht chef Mel White, M4MH started in our community because crew know better than anyone how hard it is to look after yourself when the job doesn’t stop. And this year, ISWAN is one of the beneficiaries again. 💙

Our YachtCrewHelp 2025 Annual Review is here, and it tells a story worth sharing on board and off. This year, contacts to the helpline nearly doubled, crew from 58 different nationalities picked up the phone, and we heard more openly than ever about the pressures of crew life, whatever your contract looks like.

Follow along this month for what the data actually says about welfare in yachting, and why it matters whether you’re a deckhand on your first season or a captain running the boat.

Free, confidential, multilingual support is one message away. Link in bio.

🏁🏁🏁 Another race weekend done with the TCR Golf in the @britcarendurancechampionship. We had special guess driver, BTCC legend @colin.turkington in the car with Henry and both drivers showed they had pace. Unfortunately a fueling issue compromised our chances of a result this time. Looking forward to Brands hatch for the season finale 🏁🏁🏁

A marathon doesn’t have to look like a start line and a medal. This October it looks like a walk after service, a lap of the marina or a hike on a day off.

Crew all over the world are clocking up their 26.2 miles for Marathon for Mental Health, and raising money for ISWAN as they go. Sponsor them via the link in bio 💙
