To have artists of this calibre joining us in the Village, in such an intimate setting, is pretty bloody special.

This is music up close. Hearing the stories behind the songs. Singing together. Dancing together. Laughing and, no doubt, crying together.

Music has always been one of the great connectors, and that sits right at the heart of Wild Village.

And look at this bill. Women on the stages. Women behind the scenes. Women creating, leading, taking up space and continuing to give this industry a good shake-up.

Around it all, there’s the Village itself. Swimming, making, moving, sharing, learning, resting, eating together and friendships forming everywhere.

WE created a Village, together.

And soon we get to be there again!

A trip down memory lane 🧡

These are some precious film photos collected on a spontaneous road trip two years ago across the Nullarbor Plain with one of my dearest friends, @vondove

A few days before, she called and asked if I wanted to fly to Adelaide, help rescue her van and drive it all the way across Australia to Perth.
Being the adventure-loving human I am, of course I said yes… and wow, am I grateful I did.

Witnessing the deep red desert earth against the vast, wild blue ocean blew our minds.

Long straight roads that went on for what felt like lifetimes… breaking down in the middle of nowhere in a small mining town called Norseman… techno driving dance sessions… big philosophical D&Ms… full belly laughs… memorable stopovers at Outback roadhouses… cooking by head torch after full days of driving… waking with the sunrise and watching the moon rise over the Australian desert plains… making it to Esperance and seeing the whitest and most majestic beach of our lives…

So many epic moments…

One of my favourite memories was having a tea ceremony overlooking the Great Australian Bight while whales breached below us, sipping from the little ceremonial teacups Von had brought along. 🐋🫖

Those two weeks were so sacred, etched into my heart.

It healed something in me, opened something in me, and became a chapter of my life I’ll carry forever with me.

This is a little reminder to say yes when adventure comes knocking.

If it feels right in your body, even when the nerves kick in… sometimes you just have to take the leap.

I’m so glad I did.

These little film photographs are snapshots of one of the most beautiful times of my life.

Thank you, Von 🧡 for inviting me along for the ride and being such an epic road-trip buddy.

Forever grateful for this time 🌞🚐🌊

It’s @vondove 's birthday, and I felt compelled to share the story of how we found one another, and the friendship woven between us ever since. Swipe across to read our story 🤍

A friendship forged through art, spirit, wildness, grief, death, dancing, travel, unfurling, creativity, loss, rebirth, heartbreak and the incredibly beautiful privilege of witnessing one another through it all.

Plus a tiny handful of moments from the many lives we seem to have lived alongside each other!

I’ve wanted to share this story for such a long time, it feels fitting to do it today.

Happy birthday my Von. What a woman you are, a force to be reckoned with, a multidimensional colourful wise playful flame burning so bright, weaving the most potent legacy and mark on the world, leaving no stone untouched. What an honour to be here at the same time as you. Thank you for meeting me in so many different dimensions of friendship and opening more doors to just keep expanding and discovering more. I love you deeply!

I am VERY excited to relaunch my beautiful side project, Seed&Stars - something that was birthed with the desire to merge ritual, astrology and herbalism into something slow, intentional and heart-led.

I remember receiving the download for this vision during COVID in 2020/2021; all I heard was “Seed and Stars” and to “take your time, have fun with it”.

I just want to thank @vondove and the team at @holistic.business.hub for all of their dedication and hard work to help me to bring the vision for this baby through.

The words I gave them for the energy and intention behind it was “luxurious and opulent” and they did not disappoint!!

This is the home of my ritual products, oils and altar candles to root you into the medicine of the earth while exalting you into the wonders of the heavens - remembering your place in this vast, beautiful and wild world, calling you home to yourself.

So follow along if it calls you, and thank you for being here x

A Descent and Resurrection Ritual day.

Braiding Belonging is a cyclical journey, supported and guided in alignment with the seasons. Where we honour the FULL cycle of life. Since February we have been on a descent journey together, arriving now at the bottom of the wheel.

Contrary to dominant cultural belief,
the bottom of the wheel,
a place of darkness, void and underworld,
is not “bad.”

Yes, it is place of death (metaphorically and literally), where all life must return, but it is also the fertile ground of gestation and renewal.

Nothing can be born without first being nourished by endings and letting go.
Through the compositing and fertilisation
of what came before it.

It is a deeply necessary part of the cycle of life, always playing out in big and small ways, whether we pay attention or not.

This is territory we actually know intimately:

We meet this void space all through our life.
We meet it at the threshold of each new life stage,
We meet it yearly in our decent into winter,
We meet it monthly when we bleed,
We meet it every night in the liminal dreaming,
And we meet it at the bottom of every breath.

When we do not face it,
when we cling and clutch to that
which MUST be let go of,
(as we too often do in this modern world),
we stifle ourselves, our relationships
our evolution.

Where we DO grow, it’s from seeds whose soil have not been nourished and fertilised.
We are often left questioning why what we are growing is not sustainable, or long lived.
Why the patterns of depletion,
of soulless relationships
and empty “success”
keep repeating?!

Because we CANNOT sustainably evolve without honouring the descent and void.

Without releasing that which we clutch onto, letting go and embracing the growing pains of no longer being who you thought you were but not yet who you are becoming.

Emory Halls words speak to this in such symbolic and poetic way (image 4).

This was an extraordinary day of ritual decent that I had been dreaming into and courting for many years, finally come to life. Guided into and through the journey with ancient mythology, poetry, song, drum and rattle. A day of Ritual Enactment.

And now we begin our ascent..

The most beautiful mother blessing weekend celebrating this rite of passage from maiden to mother with my sisters, on the sacred lands of Taungurung Country, stone country, women's country in Strathbogie ✨

Sharing love and laughter, cups of tea at the cottagecore feast of my dreams, my home filled with blooms and sweetness. Held through a blessing ceremony, I have never felt more ready to birth 💕 It was perfect.

I feel so grateful to be a woman, to be in full bloom, to experience carrying and growing life and to be held by my community. I know I have the strength of so many with me. I know I am in my full power and beyond capable to bring my baby earthside. I am ready 🙏

A mother is not made the day her baby is born. She is made a thousand times before and a thousand times after.

She is made the first time her awareness stretches beyond the borders of herself and begins to orbit another life. She is made in the relentless first-trimester nausea she can't escape. In the undeniable surrender of sharing her body with another being. Made each time her capacity expands beyond what she thought it could hold.

She is not only made when her yoni splits open and she roars her baby earthside.

Or when her breasts swell with milk.

Or when that first tidal wave of love crashes through her chest and leaves nothing untouched.

She is made at 4am when every part of her bargains for more sleep but she rises anyway.

When she rocks her crying baby with tears in her eyes.

When she learns the impossible mathematics of motherhood - running on empty and somehow still finding more to give.

She is made in every unseen sacrifice. Every cold meal. Every interrupted conversation. Every shower cut short by the sound of a cry. Every moment she chooses devotion over personal comfort.

Motherhood awakens something so ancient within a woman! Something older than language, older than logic and older than reason. A force that rearranges her priorities so completely that what once felt important begins to fall away.

The need to be right. The need to be admired. The need to place herself at the centre of her own story.

All that remains is love 🤍

The fierce kind. The kind with teeth. The kind that would throw itself between danger and her babe without a second thought.

The kind that has compelled mothers throughout history to cross oceans, face famine, stand before armies and walk through fire.

Motherhood is not forged in a single moment. It is forged daily. In a thousand invisible choices and in a thousand acts of devotion.

Until one day a woman looks back and realises she has become something she could never have imagined before.

A mother.

There can be a certain finesse between being in the present moment of an experience, versus stepping away to ‘capture’ it.

When is too much. When are you sacrificing your own experience. When are you impacting others’ experiences.

Is it art, or ego.. is it sharing, or showing off.. is it inspiring, or creating jealousy.. or is it just all of it, and none of it.
