✨Third Places ✨ The spots outside of home and work where we can just be. How rare those spaces have become. Too often we rush past each other quiet and disconnected. It makes me nostalgic for the way neighborhoods used to feel - where the local corner spot was the anchor of your social life. But as I look around the bar tonight, I’m flooded with gratitude. I am thankful for the small businesses where community still truly exists. Watching friends and neighbors smiling, sharing wine, swapping stories, and striking up conversations with complete strangers makes me really happy. Keep lingering. Keep connecting. And thank you, thank you, thank you to our staff, industry friends and patrons. You all make Fishtown Social a special place.🍷✨🏡

A meeting of palates, terroir and time.

We had the privilege of welcoming Christine Cooney of @heavenlyspirits and Victor Schwartz of @vosselections to LaRoche-Vacquié for an intimate tasting from our cellars.

Together, we explored our most singular casks, selecting exceptional Hauts Armagnacs destined for the U.S. market — from the timeless elegance of LaRoche-Vacquié to the rare, instinctive expressions of LRV.

Exceptional casks. Singular expressions. Curated for America.

4 tons of Sonoma Cabernet, harvested in the misty morning just before the rain. ✂️🍇
The 2026 growing season has been a wild one so far. Lower yields on average, but the fruit quality you ask?
Outstanding!

The harvest begins today.

It is the moment that brings a whole year of work to its conclusion. A year of waiting, decisions and challenges: drought, disease, wild boars… and everything nature chooses to put in our way.

Perhaps that is why every harvest is so emotional: because it is the final chapter of a long journey, the moment when months of hard work finally become grapes.

And so, we begin. 🍇

This week’s Two Bottle Sunday = “Pinot Noir” 🍷🍒, celebrating National Pinot Noir Day next week (8/18) with two expressions of one of the world’s most captivating grapes. Revered for its transparency to terroir and remarkable balance of elegance and complexity, Pinot Noir remains a favorite among growers, winemakers, and wine lovers alike. ✨

☝️ @victorinedechastenay NV Crémant de Bourgogne Brut Rosé
Made from 100% sustainably farmed Pinot Noir from the Hautes-Côtes de Beaune and Hautes-Côtes de Nuits, this traditional-method Crémant is direct pressed with minimal skin contact, fermented and aged in stainless steel, then matured for 20 months on the lees. Produced under the Crémant de Bourgogne AOC, these sparkling wines are made using the same traditional method as Champagne but showcase Burgundy’s own grape varieties and regional identity, often offering exceptional quality and value. Bright and refined, it layers wild strawberry, raspberry, citrus, and crisp red apple over fine bubbles, vibrant acidity, and a mineral finish, showcasing Pinot Noir’s charm in sparkling form.

✌️ @rootswinecompany 2024 Pinot Noir ‘Un Autre Monde’ Willamette Valley
Crafted by winemaker Chris Berg, this organically farmed Willamette Valley Pinot Noir is fermented with indigenous yeasts and aged for eight months in stainless steel and neutral French oak. Inspired by French Surrealist J.J. Grandville’s 1844 novel ‘Un Autre Monde’, its whimsical label reflects the wine’s playful spirit and Roots’ low-intervention philosophy. Fresh cherry, raspberry, and cranberry are framed by vibrant acidity, silky tannins, and an energetic finish, capturing the brightness and finesse of Willamette Valley Pinot Noir.

In my defense...I recorded this video weeks ago...so my use of lemon verbena as a tasting note was not as back to back as it appears...and I promise it didn't just come up on a tasting note of the week calendar!
Anyway. Lovely bubbly Chenin--I pouring this at Corkbuzz for happy, sparkling humans.

First tried this wine in CDMX for my birthday in 2025. Immediately fell in love. Met Xaime (the winemaker) at Karakterre several months later and got to try more of his wines and tell him how much I loved them. Then a few months after that I started working for VOS Selections, whom I get to sell the wine for! I've since met Xaime again and had the pleasure of tasting more of his wines as well as his spirits, and tomorrow? I get to POUR this wine (current vtg) and another phenomenal Mexican wine (skin contact Sauvignon Blanc from @casa_jipi_wine ) AND a New York Cab Franc from the 2nd oldest winemaking family in Long Island @paumanokvineyards

After 8 amazing years at VOS Selections, tomorrow will be the start of my last week at the company. I couldn’t be prouder of my time working with this incredible portfolio and fantastic group of people. My colleagues and suppliers have become like a second family to me, and while I’m incredibly excited for my next chapter (more about that next week! 😉), I will always treasure the memories and professional accomplishments I built here. I’m not a big poster, but here are some VOS highlights I’ve shared on the ‘gram over the years. Swipe through for a quick walk down memory lane! Stay tuned, because next week I’ll share exciting news in part 2! In the meantime, chapeau to @mr_selections @chloe.syrah @leechasalow @lilredkat and every other colleague, supplier, and customer at VOS. 🤝🍷

Not much else says fun like a Sparkling Gamay. It's an excellent food companion and a great crowd pleaser--especially as a start to your meal or evening.
It's like a popsicle for grown ups.
(Interested in trying it for your program? HMU)
