As part of Women’s Appreciation Month 💜, we’re bringing together voices that are committed to supporting, respecting, and uplifting women not just in words, but through action 🤝🏾

This Men’s Panel, Uplifting HER, is more than a discussion, it’s a space for accountability, growth, and real dialogue 🗣️Come hear from influential leaders across campus as they share their perspectives on allyship, respect, and the role men play in empowering women 👑

Ladies, your voice matters too—come ready to ask questions, engage, and be part of the conversation. Let’s build a culture where women are seen 👀, heard 🗣️, valued 💐, and uplifted together 🤍

Be part of the conversation. Be part of the change. ✨

We were proud to host an inspiring and impactful program celebrating women in leadership and public service. It was an honor to hear from Dr. Sesha Joi Moon, Chief Diversity Officer for the Commonwealth of Virginia; Nicole S. Martin, President of the Chesterfield County NAACP; Callie Burdette, President of the Association of Political Science Students; Secretary Candi Mundon King, Secretary of the Commonwealth; and Secretary Traci J. DeShazor, Virginia’s Secretary of Administration.
Their insight, experience, and commitment to service provided meaningful perspective and encouragement to everyone in attendance.
As Shirley Chisholm once said, “If they don’t give you a seat at the table, bring a folding chair.” This event reflected that spirit—uplifting voices, creating space, and empowering the next generation of leaders.
Special thanks to the WAM Committee, TAPS, and the John Mercer Langston Institute for their support in making this program possible.
