Honored to attend the Richmond Forum and hear a powerful speech from Sanna Marin, Prime Minister of Finland from 2019-2023, on what it means to be a strong and courageous leader in a fragile democracy. Her words reinforced that leadership demands integrity, resilience, and courage — especially in uncertain times.

I also had the opportunity to reconnect with Congressman Bobby Scott and to met Dr. Jewel Bronaugh, former Deputy Secretary of Agriculture, for the first time. We engaged in meaningful conversations about Black leadership, public service, and the exciting things happening at Virginia State University.

As your Student Senator, my mission is to ensure we aren’t just networking and putting VSU on the map within our own walls — but that we aren’t showing the world that greater happens here. Our institution, our students, and our voices belong in every room.

Honored & proud to work with the Bee Fabulous Moments team to help push the Bee’s Scholarship Fund to our community! 💜

Created in honor of Bronwyn “Bee” Antoinette Greene, this scholarship was designed to turn trauma into triumph through education.

The Bee’s Scholarship Fund supports high school graduates and current college students who have been impacted by domestic violence through a parent who is a victim, survivor, or perpetrator and are pursuing a 2- or 4-year college, university, or trade school.

- U.S. citizen
- 2.5 GPA or higher
- Funds may be used for tuition, books, and other educational expenses

Application Deadline: February 15, 2026 (11:59 PM EST)

Recipients will be notified: April 30, 2026

Last month, members of VSU attended the 60th Annual National Collegiate Honors Council Conference in San Diego, CA — and we showed UP for Trojan excellence! 💙🧡
This national conference highlighted the incredible work happening in honors programs across the country. We connected with scholars, partner schools, and leaders who shared powerful insights and showed strong support for what we’re building here at VSU.
We’re also excited that VSU will become an official Partners in Peace Leadership school starting in the 2026 academic year!
Some major highlights included hearing from:
🏅Tawakkol Karman – Nobel Peace Prize winner
🚀 Emily Calandrelli – the 100th woman in space
🐏 President Makola M. Abdullah – representing VSU with excellence
This conference wasn’t just something to attend — it brought back REAL knowledge, connections, and inspiration that we’re ready to pour into our community.

Here, I represented the best department in the College of Science and Humanities, Political Science.
