Dear Instagram family,

It has taken time to find the words, but I feel the need to finally share the news about my dad. He had a severe stroke on the 18th of October and wasn’t able to recover. He was at home, asleep with his love when the stroke happened. He passed away in the hospital the next day and donated his organs to people in need, we know he saved the lives of at least 5 people. His ashes are with us now.

Me and my brothers are doing okay. We’re very lucky to have the love and support of people close to us.

We have organised a remembrance gathering with dad’s ashes on the 17th of November. We chose a restaurant he used to work at many years ago and is special to him - Matakana Market Kitchen. The event will start at 12 and we will have some light lunch provided. Please let us know if you’d like to attend.
