saw a whole lot of Cairo today and caught our first glimpse of The Great Sphinx (photos taken from our balcony 😍). we learned so much about the different religions and even visited the hiding places that Jesus and his ‘rents stayed to avoid being slaughtered by King Herod.

one of the most fascinating places in Cairo is “garbage city” — but our guide said that even though the area has the vibe of poverty, don’t be fooled. they’re super wealthy and the women are even bedecked in gold jewelry. 🤯

we head to the pyramids bright and early tmrw morning with the hopes we don’t collapse from the heat, since we were the idiots that booked an Egypt trip in the dead of their summer.

overall impression so far: amazed, overwhelmed, yet grateful.

We haven’t really been able to wrap our minds around another loss this past week. 😞 Scott was a true friend, to all who were blessed enough to be able to call him that. So many memories, so much fun, so many laughs, so many pictures (too many to choose from🤪), so many years & yes, - sooo many beers (though our pallets did mature over the years 😂🍺🍷)…it doesn’t seem like this is real. Our hearts are broken, especially for his sweet, beautiful, kind, & funny wife, Wai Ming, his beloved family and the many friends he left behind. 💔 Life truly is too short & so precious. Remember, no matter how busy & crazy things are in your day to day - stop, take a minute, make the call, send the text, take the drive, catch the flight…you never know when you won’t get the chance again. 🫶
Thank you, Scott, for the years of friendship & memories. None of us will ever forget them & all of us will forever miss you! We love you Too Hottie! Keep the beer cold for us until we get up there to have another one with you! ❤️🍻 #restinpeacefriend
