It’s been all arc, reviews, and business over here lately 🫠 inspiration has been hard to find and I’ve been in a bit of a creative slump, but @honeyiboughtanotherbook and @rachels.reading34 tagged me in this fun challenge and saved the day!

Two for Tuesday 🦋⚔️✨

I’ve just been staring at both editions of Quicksilver like 👁️👄👁️ trying to decide which version I love more.

It was SO fun going out with some of my fav bookish girls to listen to @calliehartauthor tease us about Brimstone. I think it’s about time to re-listen as I get ready for round two with our favorite shadow daddy in a few months 🖤

Swipe to see all the gals right after we got reprimanded like teenagers after stepping on some guy’s grass 🥲

@thelibrariansgrimoire tagged me in this and idk how you're supposed to do this but... Just finished reading The God of War (Rina Kent) last night when I saw this tag. Eli seemed more ruthless than Lan but still overall way nicer lol.
I've been audiobooking Seasonal Fears (Seanan McGuire) since like....3 weeks ago? I really love her Wayward Children series. This one is slower but not bad.

✨𝗔 𝗖𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝘃𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝗻 𝗕𝗼𝗻𝗲✨
I fully intended for this to be a review post, truly I did. But it slowly morphed into a shout-out instead and well, I’m not fighting it. So here’s all you really need to know about my thoughts on this book:

•• 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝘃𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗹𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲. 𝗧𝗼𝗽 𝘁𝗶𝗲𝗿 𝗯𝗮𝗱 𝗴𝘂𝘆.
•• 𝗜’𝗹𝗹 𝗹𝗼𝘃𝗲 𝗕𝗷𝗼𝗿𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗜’𝗹𝗹 𝗱𝗲𝗳𝗲𝗻𝗱 𝗵𝗶𝗺 𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗩𝗮𝗹𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗮.
•• 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝘃𝘆 𝗽𝗹𝗼𝘁 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗿𝗼𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲, 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗮𝗺𝗮𝘇𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗡𝗼𝗿𝘀𝗲 𝘃𝗶𝗯𝗲𝘀 - 𝗶𝗳 𝗺𝘆 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗵𝗮𝗱 𝗯𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝘀𝗲𝘁 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗯𝗲𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗜’𝗱 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗹𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲.

But once again this community came through and made this book an amazing experience for me. When I think back on the second half of this duology I’ll be thinking mostly of my dm’s with @kindleandmagic while I read - thanks for letting me geek out hard and throw all my completely unhinged theories your way. And then of course @honeyiboughtanotherbook for the most perfect reactions to the more frustrating parts of this story, and for letting me air out all my grievances with gusto. Let’s please plan a buddy read soon, I ✨almost ✨ hope we hate the book we pick 😂

AND THEN, there’s my twin @daydreamingmoms who drives all over this state to grab mozzarella sticks and chicken wings with me while we meet all the authors - I’m so proud of us for finally taking a picture together 🖤 I didn’t think it was possible, but that day got even better when we ran into @ourmagictails @bookish_mon and @wait_we_read_now . There’s something truly amazing about meeting bookish friends in the wild and I am so grateful for those memories, and can’t wait to meet up over our smutty little books again.

My heart is fuller than my shelves and I’ve never been happier that I started this account. Happy Sunday and happy reading, friends!

OH, and if you want the sweet shirt I’m wearing at the signing be sure to check out @finnandfable - you know you wanna 😉

I love an author signing but ya know what makes it even BETTER??

An impromptu meet up with booksta pals. While I was waiting for @wait_we_read_now I walked past @daydreamingmoms moms…we literally looked at each other like “👉Waiiiiiit👈”…and then I realized @stayathomebookshop was also there AND THEN @ourmagictails just walked back to the table and it was absolute booksta perfection 😚🤌🏻

It was such a fun day and hearing @danielleljensen talk about A Curse Carved in Bone has me so excited to dive into this one.

Happy Wednesday booksta! What’s the last author signing you went to??

Wonderful authors + new friends🖤

Have you been able to meet any authors or individuals from the booksta community?

This past weekend I attended the signing for @danielleljensen hosted by a Chicago area bookstore called @andersonsbookshop ! It was an honor to listen to Danielle talk about her writing and her characters. Every opportunity I have to hear authors speak about their journey is so inspiring. It just so happened that we had an added treat with @staciastarkauthor in attendance as well.

The biggest cherry on top of the whole day was being able to meet up with some of the beautiful and witty girls that I’ve connected with through this community. I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to chat with @stayathomebookshop , @bookish_mon , @daydreamingmoms , and @wait_we_read_now !

I will never stop being thankful for the connections I’ve been able to make on here.
So if you are reading this, thank you🖤
