Oh my STUNNING books!

This week I ended finally getting my hands on the books that held my hand through the unexpected loss of a family member. @author.klspeer I still thank you for Bone’s story, for the tragedy, for the love, for the journey, and for the story that is standing with me.

Books that have allowed me to grieve deeply as I have reflected. Books that brought me to the verge of tears allowing the flood gates to open when I couldn’t bring myself to cry through my emotions on my own.

These dystopian mad-max magical, gut wrenching books have me. Have all of me.

Both are out now! And I’m desperate for more. by @wait_we_read_now

When your husband is the original book reader in the house and has been begging you to read Dresden Files, so you buy it for him for Christmas and readily steal the book to read it yourself. #dresdenfiles #bookish #husbandsgirl #bookish by @wait_we_read_now

Today I had a plan to take pictures for posts… and today I’m once again sick… 🤒 if you all could send some good vibes and healing that would be great. Cleansing simmer pot was my contribution to life today. If you need me I’m dead 😵 and reading. #saturdayvibes #simmerpots by @wait_we_read_now

Thank you @thenerdfam and @angtdalton for The Light within ARC!

I started this last week and have been pulled into this world!

Synopsis: Scarlet Thorne was prepared to fulfill the prophecy she was thrust into. Until becoming the Crimson Wraith cost her everything.

Now the world that forged her may be the first thing she burns.

Rhodes Wylder and Fallon Fitzroy have been cast into the Forgotten Realm, a place where the past refuses to stay buried. A realm filled with ancient truths, crumbling foundations, and Delaney Salvitto waiting for their arrival.

While they fight to survive a realm no one was meant to escape, Scarlet faces a different kind of war.

The Broken Crown’s Curse is coming for the Mareki.

Princess Kiye failed to stop it.

And Scarlet may just let it wipe out the world completely.

But as the Mareki begins to reveal the truth behind the Broken Crown’s Curse, Scarlet is faced with a choice no prophecy prepared her for. Saving the people she loves may require becoming the very thing she was warned against. And if Scarlet embraces the full corruption of the Mareki…

There may be nothing left of the realms to save.

The prophecy ends here.

On October 13th, The Light Within concludes the Twisted Thorn Trilogy with devastating twists, unforgettable romance, and a war to determine the fate of all realms.

Waking up with the urge to reread Dark Shores series by @danielleljensen (series is so underrated, criminally underrated).

Maybe it’s my way of coping with not getting an ARC of Defy the Dusk, but that’s okay. Sounds like it will be in a Fairy Loot box this fall!!! (🤞) and I’m desperate for it to be in my Hands!!!! Dystopian has really hit this summer (maybe because of our political climate of late 🤔)

We apparently are getting a Jeep which if Defy the Dusk is like a dystopian Mad Max feel like I’ve heard is going to make me want to transform this beater jeep into a doomsday machine! (Says the girl with no actual skill on working on a car)

There are so many good books this fall coming out and I’m desperately hoping I don’t hit a slump!

Do you have an anticipated release (outside of the Maasverse and Fourth Wing) that you are looking forward to this fall? by @wait_we_read_now

September moments of joy so far.

Here is the thing, life lately has been emotionally draining.

Life lately has kicked my ass.

So here I am finding joy where I can.

In flowers, in duckies, in reading with messy hair, in prioritizing sitting my ass down, in being okay with the not ok.

But books have been so good to me… I have been relistening to ACOTAR and sitting with Sliver Flames, I binged Tourist Season and had to buy Harvest Season immediately. I’m also reading Steelborn which is really good. Then my husband and I are Listening to a sci-fi thriller Infinitely together which I’m loving.

Where are you finding joy this week? by @wait_we_read_now
