There is so much joy to be found in the ordinary day to day moments at home. Listen throughout the day, are the things we do chores? Or are they part of the symphony and rhythm of a beautiful life? Brewing coffee, making beds, setting the table. We are so blessed to be able to do these things each day. I have grown to love the rituals that add to the joy and rhythm of our everyday life at home.

We recently added two gorgeous water filters from @walterfilter and I can’t describe how fresh and pure the water tastes! In addition to the taste, I truly love the sound of the water coming from the beautiful tap spilling into a clean glass!!! I’m seriously drinking so much more water because it’s just so fun to pour, listen to and enjoy!!! That may sound silly but I truly revel in this simple pleasure!! I think we finally decided to keep the blue Walter in the kitchen and the orange one in our newly finished basement.

Full disclosure as always…. The water filters were gifts that I gladly accepted as we often feel we can taste high levels of chlorine in our water. I can’t say enough good about @walterfilter I will not receive any commission but I did ask for a code for all of you in case you were interested in purchasing one of these beauties! Each one hand made from clay and this is a one woman business! My code for you is HEARTANDHOME

I’d love to know what everyday moments and sounds you love to hear around your home? And just curious…do you prefer the orange or the blue Walter in our kitchen?

I call this a kitchen tour but it also a tour of light, warmth and memories. A room designed to host all of our gatherings and hold everything we need to entertain. Every corner holds dishes, glassware, table linens, cookware and pottery that have been collected over the years, from travels, vintage finds and special items that have been passed down to me from my parents. From sunrise to sunset we enjoy the glow of light through the windows supplemented by a variety of lamps, chandeliers, wall sconces and cabinet lighting and candles. The tea kettle whistles and the coffee machine hums, soups simmer in pots and easy taco nights grace our table. When it’s a holiday gathering our antique French farm table, that we bought in Belgium, slides open on each end to almost double in size! It stretches the entire length of the kitchen and holds many!! This is where we gather, say prayers, eat, drink, laugh and host family and friends. And yes, no matter what, there is always room for one more at the table, the silverware and dishes may not all match but it all mixes together to feel wonderfully homey, casual yet also special, rustic and at the same time elegant. It just works! Something NEW in our kitchen is the gorgeous orange WALTER from @walterfilter I am absolutely obsessed about having fresh filtered water in this stunning clay water filtering device right on our counter!!! This was gifted to me and I will not receive any commission on sales BUT I can’t say enough about how awesome and beautiful this is and how excited I am about the health benefits from having filtered water at our fingertips! No more buying bottled water and filling landfills with plastic! I have a code to help you buy your very own!! 15% off with code HEARTANDHOME! Maybe a great Christmas gift to invest in now!!! Head to @walterfilter A One woman run business!! So fabulous!!!

Now tell me, which corner is your favorite? Mine is revealed on the last slide!!

Kitchens and bathrooms are where my rituals live. Warm water and lemon first thing. Palo santo burning low. Dry brushing before the shower, magnesium salts poured generously into the bath.

In the kitchen, a kettle or dutchy sits on the stove; there’s family nearby, conversation unfolding without a clock. I water my pothos, tidy as I go, let the space breathe. These are the rooms where care happens most often, where routine becomes grounding.

I wanted these rooms to feel warm, tactile, and human. Natural materials, thoughtful storage, pieces that work hard but still feel considered. Everything intentional.

I’ve been getting questions about a few of these details, so I’ve started organizing select sources in one place to make things easier to reference. A small, evolving catalog of pieces I truly use and love in #CrownHouseBK on @shopmy.
