Last night I went on a rare outing for Maria’s book release, Fearless, Sleepless, Deathless. A perfect interview and conversation was conducted between Maria and Patricia Ononiwu Kaishian and we were all in awe of the hot geniuses seated before us. I cried. A fuck ton of books were signed, and then my tits🐰🔥

🎉this birthday was one of my favorites. such a sweet fun weekend with people i love dearly, sweet facetimes & phone calls, kind messages & voice notes, warm hugs, yummy food, sparkling wine and lots of prosecco, tender gestures, a little dancing, singing, resting, laughing & cuddles with my cat. grateful for all of it. thank you for all of the joy & all of the love. 🥹

📚🎞️ yesterday’s gathering at “Now Playing” for the Boston premiere screening of Yoel Morales’ @yoelmorales feature length film “La Bachata de Bionico” @labachatadebionico was just beautiful. Thank you to Yoel & Cristian @mojicamf and everyone at @mentesfritas for creating this excellent work of cinema & for allowing me to share it here in Boston with @justbook_ish 🥹 thank you to Yoel for spending some time with us post-screening to talk a little but about your process!

thank you to everyone who came out! ❤️ It was so beautiful to see so many Dominicans 🇩🇴 in the audience supporting Dominican cinema!

I am immensely grateful to have the opportunity to do this work & so grateful for the support of my dear friend @porshaolayiwola and my @justbook_ish family & to my friends & family who share out the events or come to screenings & support ❤️

We got away over the weekend! For some fun, RNR, and inadvertently our 3 year birthday! It lined up so last year as well:)

Many thanks to our friends @mackenziefrenzyy @julesblake7 and @purgatoryltd who kept the shop open so we could slip away over weekend
.
We found a bugs, amphibians, cool plants and of course some mushrooms!
.
Often it’s easy to forget but one of my favorite things in regards to mushrooms, is the people:) getting out and spending time in nature with folks interested at looking a little closer at things, and also eating and all around goofery
.

been 40 for about a month

much of it was spent practicing telepathy and settling deeper into kindredness with the rare and radiant @agentsubrosa

floated in an amniotic chamber, did some murder meditation (archery)

watched a plant slowly eat a harvestman

was gifted a bauble by a crow and made it into a talisman

now i can make out the contours of rest again. i won’t forget what they look like…thank you thank you thank you A and T

during the rest of the birth month, i did an author photoshoot with Billy, climbed a Blue Hill with Kara, gazed at the Amethyst Brook with Walter, celebrated the growth of our fam with JAG and Beez

now i recall that our attention, our noticing, our witnessing is sacred

now i can more easily distinguish what the textures of my day might be beyond the noose and cudgel of capitalism

when we all do that we’re gonna be so. damn. dangerous. cannot wait

can’t wait to ignore the shit out of the blustery distractions today at my biggest age!
