Keep watching to see a perfect narration of a prarie chicken courtship, as filtered through @sjeffgreenstein and myself.

I often joke that my love Jeff is not as funny as he thinks he is, but if you watch to the end of this clip, you’ll see how wrong I am!

I can’t watch it without laughing out loud.

(My friend Sheila @wanderer50 , an amazing public sculptor and her husband Michael, a brilliant Nebraska born writer, lured us to Nebraska to see the migration of the Sandhill cranes, but we got to see and experience SO much more! )

Public art has been an integral part of Governors Island’s DNA ever since we first opened to the public twenty years ago. Whether it's for immersive installations, dazzling performances, or transformative artworks, visitors travel from across the five boroughs (and the world) to experience some of New York City’s most exciting cultural experiences in all seasons.

THANK YOU for visiting and engaging with Governors Island Arts during this milestone year—we couldn’t do it without you. We hope you’ll consider supporting this vital work by making a donation to the Governors Island Foundation today as part of their Year-End Giving Campaign. Visit govisland.org/donate.
