The rumors are true. The books have been smuggled in. 📚🥃 Banned Books Week is October 4–10, and we’re capping off the week on Sunday, October 11 with an evening straight out of the Prohibition era. Slip into the speakeasy for banned books, censored merch, themed drinks, era-inspired music, and plenty more we probably shouldn’t put in writing.

📍 Rhythm & Brew
🗓 Sunday, October 11
⏰ 6–8 PM
📚 Wandering Bookstall × The Wyrd & Wand Archive

There may even be a secret password involved. But you didn’t hear that from us. Keep an eye on our pages during Banned Book Week. More details (and perhaps a few clues) are coming soon.

Such a beautiful event at the @wmricelibrary! It was a beautiful day filled with cultura, community, books, lowriders, and love. ❤️

One of my favorite moments was connecting with @wanderingbookstall , a Latina-owned children’s bookstore in Waxahachie. We talked about our shared love for books and her mission to make them more affordable and accessible to children.

Our conversation about the Scholastic Book Fair unlocked a core memory for me. I remember getting the catalogs and circling ALL the books I wanted, only to feel sad when the books arrived and I was one of the kids who didn’t get one. 🥹

I hadn’t thought about that in years.

Yesterday, it hit me…maybe that little girl who loved circling those books is part of the reason I love putting books into people’s hands today.

So grateful for meaningful conversations, Latina-owned businesses, and women supporting women. ❤️ #fyp #LatinaBookstore #latina #latinaowned #bookstore

Today felt a little like stepping into a story—wandering through bookstores, bringing home new adventures, and celebrating the magic of going back to Hogwarts. 📚🪄🏰 #teamslytherin🐍
