Just simplicity, peace, and sea breeze - exactly how he lived. Paz y constancia. Caminando por la Rambla de Montevideo 🌅 Did you know? 📍 The entire rambla is named after him. 🤝 The bust was gifted as a symbol of India-Uruguay friendship 🕊️ It has become a meeting point for the Indian community, joggers, and travelers who stop for a moment of calm 🏏 Some weekends, you’ll even find cricket being played right next to it. Montevideo has a beautiful habit of honoring world peacemakers on its rambla - Gandhi, alongside Wilson, Roosevelt and more. Have you ever stopped here during your rambla walk? 📍 Monumento a Mahatma Gandhi, Rambla Gandhi, Punta Carretas 🗓️ Today is Gandhi Jayanti - 157th birth anniversary Save this for your next rambla walk.
