Gandhi on the Rambla 🇮🇳🇺🇾

On October 2nd, 1869, a man who would change the world with non-violence was born.

And here in Montevideo, on Rambla Mahatma Gandhi in Punta Carretas, his bronze bust quietly looks over the Río de la Plata.

No grand monument. Just simplicity, peace, and sea breeze - exactly how he lived.

Wasn't expecting to see THIS just right at Pocitos Beach! 😳🦭🌊
what an incredible surprise to all, and the entire city is mesmerized 🥹
