Happy birthday baby girl ♥️

This year, you would have turned 13 🐾

I still remember how you ran up to me, the pure joy of being together, the miles spent on the road together, all the games we played, our cuddles, the way you laid your head on my hands when I was driving… You made everything better 🐾

Miss you everyday, little monster ♥️

Happy new years baby girl 🐾 Throwback to our first van and our first year on the road in this rig 🐺

I was more adventurous, curious, and fearless when you were with me.

This is the year I hope to rediscover my new.

One of my favorite activities with Mochi 🐾 Hide and seek 🐺

I still remember hiding in places that were too hard for her to visually find. She would sit down in the room and sniff out the air to locate me through smell. I do wish I had that on camera. Definitely a core memory for me and moments I will never forget.

Miss you baby girl ♥️

I made this video years ago and never posted it. It was originally created for my campervan company content.

Stumbling on this is really challenging. In human years, Mochi was ~77 years old when we had to put her down. It was unexpected, with no warning signs.

Much of this I’m still processing. I have good and bad days. When I see this, it is reshaping how I approach this next phase of life.

I remember this day like it was yesterday.

I’m still in disbelief it’s been 2 years since this hike.

We were searching for a mountain to elope and this topped our list.

Being away from the PNW is healing in its own way, however, I’d be lying if my heart is pulling me back.

I have doubts I can mentally make this drive even if I was home.

But I’m hoping something will change when we’re back.

Thanks for visiting me in my dreams baby girl 🐾 I’ll be home soon 🏔️

Halfway across the world, but this is where my heart wants to be 🐾🐺🚐

International travel was something I rarely entertained. Mostly because I didn’t want to leave Mochi behind. If there was a way to take her. I would. I had a dream of exploring Spain with her. But that was no longer an option after her IMHA.

If there’s one thing I wish I could change is getting to spend more time with Mochi when she was a pup. I traveled more than I wanted for work, missing a large portion of her pup years.

Now as we’re packing up our home into storage unit to travel internationally for months, I’m reminded by the little quirky things Mochi does. She would squirm around, panting, worried we’d leave her behind. I miss the way she jumped into her carrier, our luggage’s, bringing toys and dropping it into our luggage… Anything to distract us.

Mochi was with me during my divorce, losing my dad, my first introduction to road life, overland life, vanlife, our first home… heading into what could arguably be digital nomad life without her is a feeling I’m trying to accept.

I’ll be looking for signs you’re traveling with us 🐾

For My Baby Girl

I brought you here because this was our home. One of our secret spots. A place we slept, lived, and felt free. Now it holds a part of you. Safe, quiet, just yours.

I miss you more than words can touch. I still see you in the passenger seat. Still feel your head on my hand as we got to our spot. I still have dreams of us exploring. You weren’t just my dog. You were my peace. My purpose. My baby girl.

Your time capsule holds everything you need for when you return to this place. This isn’t goodbye. This is a place I’ll come back to. You’re always with me.

I love you. Always.

Dad

I still can’t believe we’re coming up on a year without you. That adventure life we built together feels like a dream now. But when you visit me in my dreams, that’s when it feels real.

Thank you for keeping me grounded in the present, bb. If it weren’t for you, I don’t think we ever would’ve lived this life. I’ll be waiting for your next visit, always. 🐾♥️🐺

I could make this video over and over with different clips. I just picked at random in my camera roll. 😆 🤦🏼‍♀️ But WOW looking back at all of 2024–what a GREAT year!! A mix of working and climbing. 🚐 🛠️ 🧗🏻‍♀️ just the way we like it. Some highlights:

🧗🏻‍♀️ Climbing lots of new things in Red Rocks and Joshua Tree even though we’ve been there so many times. My main goal this year when returning to favorite climbing destinations was to find climbs we’d never tried before. Spent many months with our climbing twinsies 👯‍♀️👯‍♂️ @pawketfullofposey who showed us around when we finally made it to Squamish BC 🇨🇦 It amazed us both. We wish we could live there. It’s now an annual destination. 🪨 🌲 🤩

We had a HUGE successful clean up of the precious desert of Joshua Tree Lake Bed. I hope this can continue for years to come to keep it clean! ♻️ 🚮 🗑️ Thanks for those that helped and sponsors @desertcleanseproject @joshuatreefriends

I got back into crafting this year. Collage artwork and lotsssss of jewelry. 🎨 💍 Inspired by @jackietrejoart to do many craft shows and made a profit of almost $2k🤯

We worked with a LOT of clients who became friends. So grateful for those that have trusted us. Thank you. 🤗 🧰 🛠️ @22kef @drmarinavet @adventurer_celeste @luna_thebluevan @wandering_marc @masyn_moyer @roadtripwithmeeeshh @the.wander.box @ashbash333
Thank you for the build space @jensenadventuresaz 🙏🏻

Moving out of our van for the first time in 5 years (it was two whole weeks) while getting major maintenance done. 👨🏻‍🔧 🚐

Coming back “home” to Colorado where we’ve been treated well basically living with friends @jackielukianov & @khristianlukianov_ 🙏🏻 Our good friends Chris and Holly moved here as well. @kippperjones @holly.lambert.fit 🤗 We were also lucky enough to have @hansflorine drive us our new home that we’ve spent the last few months of the year building. 😮‍💨 🚚 🛠️ Shawn’s always impressive—but WOW. He’s really outdoing himself with this one. 🤩

2025–let’s see what you’ve got!

Last week’s elopement with Nagisa & Peter on the Olympic peninsula was a dream, and I’m so glad it all came together so beautifully in just a few short weeks🤍

There are many more photos to come to show all the meaningful touches they incorporated into their day, but we’ll start here, with some precious memories of van life and the perfectly moody fall weather!😍
