RESILIENCE is one word I can use to describe my 2018 because irrespective of all the difficulties tossed at us this year, we emerged stronger and better.
My key focus for 2018 was my business, Caesar Couture and Caesar 169 Shoes and we hit the ground running at the start of the year. I knew it wasn't going to be a walk in the park but I am one who is always up for challenges and so i went for it.
As with most entrepreneurs finance was a great challenge. I sought for help in places I thought I will find help, but when all failed, I was reawaken to the harsh reality that no one owes you. No regrets, just lessons learnt.

With God on our side we started the journey and renovation works in the store didnt pause for a day in the course of 115days. Saturdays and sundays we were there. Till the main opening, we kept on working.
Sleepless nights, looking stressed, early morning meetings, sourcing for funds, but through it all I remained focused on my dream and never gave up. Your only limit is you.

In August, I missed my interview in London for CNN African Voices. They intended to do a documentary on Caesar Couture on the runway at African Fashion Week London. I couldn't make London as i was personally  handling the store renovation. I wrote to them and they understood. God had it all planned out and sorted.
The whole phase and the year in its entirity was a learning process. When I discovered challenges, I made alternate plans and moved on swiftly. I learnt to have Plan Bs and I always believed I could weather all storms. Most importantly I took calculated risks and went after dreams, not people.

The d day came, my birthday (16-9) we opened and boy it was a great success. I thank everyone that came through to celebrate with me and the Caesar Couture brand. You are capable of more than you know.

I thank God for all he did in 2018, and pray that the best of my 2018 be the worst of my 2019. I thank everybody (tagged) who stood by me all through this trying year, with words of encouragements, business offers and financial solutions
2019 is looking good already at our end. I pray that the good Lord meets you at the time of your needs. Happy New Year
