The Castro clan was worn out, so I ventured out alone all day. I had a plan, but as we know, "the best-laid plans of mice and men often go awry," and I was no exception.

After @peace.teahouse, I wanted to visit After the Rain Cafe, which is a little outside of Bangkok, but I couldn't find a driver who would take me there at a reasonable cost. Combined with the fact that I had no internet service, I literally relied on my little subway map and my instincts to get me to Wat Paknam. And it was so incredible! Wandering random neighborhoods and streets and little alleyways, stumbling upon great cafes and photo spots. I couldn't have planned a more fun day 🙏🏽

One photo spot was completely free. A second one "charged" an entrance fee of buying a drink, and then they led you up a few floors to a cute selfie room!
(สมชายการช่าง Somchai Amulets in Talat Phlu, Bangkok)

After seeing Wat Paknam up close and visiting the temple, I even popped in to get my nails done, FOR SIX DOLLARS, before I hopped on the back of a bike to go to the famous Song Wat Road for more mango sticky rice at @wanjaicafehouse 🥭

I did some shopping at @PasayaLifestyle and @siamayachocolate before coming upon an exhibit called Threads of Resilience: Women on the Frontlines of Climate Change, which shares photos, stories, and textiles from women garment workers in Cambodia and Indigenous artisans in South America whose work and lives are being changed by climate change. You know I had to support!🌏

After my day exploring alone, the family and I headed to the incredible @iconsiam to depart for our dinner cruise on the Chao Phrya River with @meridiancruise.co.th

There are a lot of choices for dinner cruises, but we loved the energy from the singers on ours! Well worth it 🥰
