Today was Library Officer Day - Together Towards Tomorrow held at the State Library of Western Australia @statelibrarywa Not only was I attending the PD Day workshops it was also my first time presenting on behalf of the WASLA @waslapln team. With a small group I walked through and talked about hosting school Book Fairs to other WA school Librarians. I presented two amazing companies Scholastic Book Fairs @scholastic_au and Larrikin House Book Fairs @larrikinhouse and provided valuable information to those who have never organised one to sharing tips and collaborating with one another. I meet some wonderful new friends in the industry, networked and shared some great laughs with those I knew. Great job today WASLA @waslapln I had a ball! 💗 Ps- How’s my room! 😉 . . . . #wasla #slwa #perth #perthwa #statelibrary #westernaustralia #librarylove #libraries #librarians #schoollibraries #schoollibrarian #bookfair #presentation #scholasticbookfair #larrikinhouse #present #talk #firsttime #together #towards #tomorrow #networking #support #explore #opportunity #librariansofinstagram #librariansfollowlibrarians #librariesofinstagram #librariesmatter #itsalibrarianlife

Thank you to @waslapln and AISWA for inviting Westbooks to attend your wonderful and well organised School Conference on Saturday! We would like to extend a special thank you to Kennedy Baptist College for providing your space for this fantastic event and always giving our school representative, Julie, such a warm welcome. Julie had the opportunity to meet with lots of dedicated school librarians, some established and others brand new. She had many pleasant interactions with staff dedicated to providing an enjoyable library experience for their students, with a specific focus on graphic novels and creating a Comic Book Community at their school. If you would like any more information regarding the conference, or advise on growing your school's library collection, please contact Julie at 0429932437 or julie@westbooks.com.au. 📚🤓📚✏️📚🙌📚 #books #bookstagram #conference #schools #waschool #aiswa #wasla #kennedybaptistcollege
