Before I say how amazing @holthinrichs watches are I am contractually obliged to mention that the first 2 pictures are taken by (check notes) the best god damn watch photographer in the world @watch_ape…What is coming out of the Armoury in Delft by Michiel and his team is truly wonderful. Lugs that seem to defy the laws of Physics, dials that mesmerise and 3D printed titanium cases that melt onto your wrist and feel so light, that you have to turn the watch over to check it has a movement inside. Holthinrichs are absolutely nailing it and long may it continue. I am so pleased to be represented them here in the UK and hope to have a few to show @themanchesterwatchshow in early November. A little throwback to this incredible photograph of the HILLI Blue Panda by the very talented @watch_ape One of my favourite images ever taken of the watch, because it captures so much of what makes the Blue Panda special. That radiant blue dial. The colour matched inlay on the bezel. The beautiful matte aesthetic of the sandblasted ceramic against the brushed stainless steel. The contrast of the black PVD pushers and crown against the metal. The polished edges of the case and bracelet catching the light. And then that sharp halo around the domed sapphire crystal. Every surface, every contrast, every little detail is there.

Geneva Watch days. What an incredible experience so far. The watches are wonderful, but the people we’ve met and the connections made have even better. MANTEIO - ZEUS Many brands use storytelling as a marketing tool. For Alex Goetschi, storytelling came first. Alex set out to create a watch that would do more than simply tell the time. The result was Manteio and its debut model, Zeus. A watch that draws heavily from mythology, symbolism and narrative-driven design. We sat down with Alex to discuss the origins of Manteio, the creation of Zeus, and why storytelling remains at the heart of everything the brand hopes to become. _______ MANTEIO blends Greek mythology with contemporary watchmaking in a very deliberate way. What was the moment or idea that made you realize mythology could become the foundation of a watch brand rather than simply an aesthetic inspiration? The idea came while I was reading Stephen Fry's retelling of the Greek myths. I realised that these stories are much more than stories about gods. They are stories about human nature, ambition, love, jealousy and sacrifice. At the same time, I noticed that many watches inspired by mythology only use the names or some visual references. I wanted to go deeper and tell the actual stories through watchmaking. That was the moment the idea for Manteio was born. The goal became to retell Greek mythology one character, one watch, at a time. Many brands focus heavily on specifications, while MANTEIO feels much more emotional and narrative-driven. What kind of feeling do you hope collectors experience when wearing one of your watches? Curiosity. I hope collectors discover new details over time and start asking why certain elements exist. Once they learn the stories behind them, I hope the watch becomes more meaningful.
