Gun violence doesn’t just take lives.
It leaves weight. It leaves questions. It leaves women carrying what no one sees.

This space was created with you in mind.

Whether you’re grieving, surviving, or supporting someone through it, you don’t have to carry it alone.

Gather Her welcomes you. 🤍 🤍

🚨May 17th ONLY 🚨
Too often, the block only gets attention when something goes wrong.

We’re changing that.

Our “Give Back 2 Da Block” series is pulling up BLOCK X BLOCK THIS SUMMER!
The series built to interrupt violence and restore what’s been missing—connection, consistency, and care.

Because young people in Easy Town, Dixie, Zion City, Glen Oaks, Baks, Scotlandville, South BTR, Sherwood, Fairfields, Belfair and beyond deserve MORE THAN SURVIVAL!

They deserve space to create, move, be seen, and be supported.

So we’re bringing everything to the block.

Food that gathers people.
Art that tells truth. @ellemnop.art
Bike rides that create freedom. @geauxridebtr
Intervention that meets real life head on.

Healing. Accountability. Possibility. All in the same space.

This is what it looks like when you invest in community before crisis.

We start May 17th with our folks @rebekah_with_ak and @olboys225.

In the midst, we still move in HOPE.

On Thursday morning we drove to Shreveport, and received a call about a crisis back home. That is the reality of this work. We are often holding multiple worlds at once, responding in real time, and still choosing to show up.

Our feed might look like great programming, but day to day we center on supporting people in critical circumstances. This is life. This is what it takes.

Pivot partnered @__josieealexander and @momsonamission_shreveport to to ensure that providers were on site. We believe support should be present, not just discussed. We believe care should be accessible in the moment, not delayed.
Thx you for your care and services Ark La Tex Counseling Rehab

Shoutout to Martha, @street_educated6 , Satonia (Find You Something Safe To Do), and your teams for putting together something meaningful for your community and allowing us to stand alongside you in it.

What we experienced in Shreveport was more than an event. It was connection. It was healing in motion. It was a reminder that strong ecosystems are built through intention, trust, and presence.

We are looking forward to returning and continuing to support your ecosystem.

We go where the work calls.

We believe in the firm foundation we are building.

After loss… families don’t just need prayers —
they need support, space to grieve, guidance, and a reason to keep going.

Men and boys don’t just need to be told to do better —
they need to see what’s possible, feel what’s different, and be surrounded by people who won’t give up on them.

That’s our why.

At Pivot, we help people pivot in real time
through conversations, in conflict, in moments that could go left.
We guide, we check, we stand beside — not above.

This is intergenerational leadership.
Women holding families together.
Men showing up for the next generation.
Community choosing itself.

Our guidance is backed by science,
and nurtured through lived experience.

And one thing about us…
we ain’t going NOWHERE ✊🏽.

A church that worships together… and serves together.

What we experience on Sunday doesn’t stay in the building.
It moves into the streets, into our communities, and into the lives of people who need it most.

This is Kingdom Well.
Faith in action.

Zion City, this one felt different. 💛

When everything around you tries to dim your light…
when the noise, the loss, the pressure, and the weight feel louder than anything else…
connection becomes resistance.
Consistency becomes healing.
And community? That’s what breathes life back into you.

This year, nearly $3,500 of this moment was powered by individual donations and in-kind support and BIG 💜❤️💙💛💚.

24 volunteers showed up and POURED IN representing small businesses, organizations, families, and even our own young people

They served.
They laughed.
They created space for something we don’t always get to feel long enough — peace.

And if we’re being honest…
some days this work is heavy.
Some days it’s funerals, crisis calls, legal battles, and carrying stories that don’t leave you.

But then days like this happen.
And we remember WHY WE WON’T STOP!

We pivot for peace.
We pivot for possibilities.
We pivot for progress.
We pivot for power — for our people.

This is home.
These are the blocks where we’re called to stand —
the streets people overlook,
the spaces people write off,
the places where showing up matters the most.

Zion City — thank you for trusting us, showing up, and reminding us that even here… especially here… joy is still a strategy, and love is still alive.

If you were there, drop a 💛
Love to see it, drop a ❤️
If you missed it… we’ll see you next year.
