Every once in a while, someone comes along who belongs to everyone.

No matter where you came from, what side you stood on, what neighborhood you called home, or what season of life you were in, somehow Larry made you feel like you belonged.

Today, people from every walk of life are grieving the same man.

Only Larry.

As people changed, Larry stayed committed to what mattered for everyone. He NEVER let convenience replace conviction.

Even as time changed and life pulled US in different directions, Larry never SHIFTED, he remained the same.

He fought to protect the vision we started with. He believed in people, and loyalty. He believed that what we were building TOGETHER mattered the most.

So many people choose themselves when the opportunity comes. Larry NEVER did.

He never stepped on anyone to create a win for himself, and he never let any of us fall if he could help it.

WE ALL LOST A LEADER… We lost someone truly special. Kendra’s husband, Larry and Luke’s dad…
I love y’all so much for sharing Larry with the world.

When we text Monday night. I was on one of my usual Courtney rants, trying to make sense of things. Looking back now, I’m grateful you listened... but I’m more grateful that you reminded me of my place in THIS CRAZY WORLD.
I’m grateful that you told me I couldn’t erase WHAT WAS no matter what or where things are now…
Couldn’t there be another way to prove your point Larry…

More than anything, I’m grateful you never measured me by what I could bring to the table. You saw me for who I was, not for what I could do.

That kind of love, loyalty, and integrity is rare.

You left your fingerprints on all of us.

We carry pieces of who you were because you took the time to invest in who we could become.

We’ll carry that forward. You finished YOUR RACE my dear friend. Lord we will miss you.

What if the thing you have been trying to outrun is the very thing asking you to slow down and listen?

Our first instinct is usually to hustle. We stay busy, take another meeting, solve another problem, or pour into someone else because staying in motion feels easier than sitting still with ourselves.

But sometimes your heart has been trying to get your attention all along.

Sometimes the greatest act of courage is not pushing through. It is being willing to lean in.

It means leaning into the grief, the disappointment, the uncertainty, and even the questions you have been too busy to ask yourself.

I am learning that every feeling does not need to be fixed. Some feelings simply need to be felt, understood, and acknowledged.

Healing can begin when we stop treating our hearts like obstacles to overcome and start seeing them as places where God may be waiting to meet us.

Maybe it is time to put heart before hustle.

Before you get up , and walk through it... make yourself sit long enough to understand what God is trying to show you. As hard as this feels, we don’t get to dictate the time. 🙏🏾 taken in Baton Rouge, Louisiana by @watchcourtwork

Tired of cowering and “laying low” when my life is being held hostage and media is cooperating with the government to publicly intimidate me, along with others.

There are more media mentions than there are tangible facts, and paperwork.
Day 160.

Spare me with the chills, lay lows, just waits and you shouldn’t haves…
It’s not your life being tried in the court of public opinion. It’s not your life they want to see crumble publicly…
It’s not your name being scandalized on the 3rd and 7th floor of City Hall…

I dont have a cheer section… all I got is me.

Enough is enough.

I VIVIDLY remember my first few Vacation Bible Schools! All of them were centered around my aunties!

Historic 2nd Baptist in NOLA and St. Peter (Erwinville) and St. Alma (Lakeland).

I’m so grateful for my Kingdom Well Family for giving our boys an experience they won’t forget!
They made new friends at church, learned about Abraham and Joseph, and increased their faith in God.

We prayed through Friday’s vicious traffic 😂
