“Your call to adventure.” It’s Doxa’s tagline, a challenge to wear the watches in situations and environments that are beyond the day-to-day. It’s a bold declaration of the watches’ purpose, and a message we genuinely believe in here at The Watch Preserve. So much so, we decided we had to do something special to celebrate our love of @doxawatchesofficial: send a team of dedicated watch enthusiasts and divers down to Panama City Beach, Florida, to experience the watches firsthand and explore the brand’s history in the region. But there’s a catch. We entered every one of our Doxa collectors into a random drawing to bring one along, all-expense-paid, on the adventure of a lifetime. @windupwatchfair is always a Jam with @thewatchpreserve. Chicago is quickly becoming one of my favorite cities and the show here was bigger than ever in a new venue. I tried my hand at painting @thedialartist x @chriswardlondon collab. The breadth of color on such tight spaces made it a challenge for sure. @thedialartist was one of the nicest chillest guys. Whereas I’m an anxiety riddled mess, Chris was calm and hard at work. I’m remiss that I don’t have a photo Chris working live on his custom dial for the Christopher Ward showroom in Chicago. @kyality and I had begun discussing a @sericawatches Mini back in February at WindUp Dallas. Then came WU SF and finally, by the time Chicago rolled around I was able to deliver Kyle’s custom piece. Manon from @festina.watches was so wonderful and I’m grateful that I could paint a Festina live at WindUp. @mikepearson6 provides about 60% of the joy for the entire watch industry. Thanks for letting me paint a custom @chriswardlondon at WindUp. @watchingthemap - more like ‘watching over your shoulder’ It was a @studio.underd0g show. I painted so many!! Each WindUp has a different watch company that really stands out and this time it was Studio UnderdOg. Just like the fit. I love to see and to hold @alangesoehne whenever I get the chance. My first @formexwatch painting!!! If you’re thinking about watches in Chicago you have to put @astorandbanks at the top of the list. It was great to see you again Andrew. More Christopher Ward 😄 His and Hers. Theirs and theirs. Them and Theys. Hims and His. She and Hers. This is what I’m talking about 🥑 A little process on that textured Avocado dial. D to the O to the X to the A - RedBar Houston with DOXA! Michael @watchingthemap from @thewatchpreserve in Ft. Worth brought the full collection for us to enjoy. This teenage Clive Cussler fan loves the vintage-vibe, modern-made, color-choices-galore Swiss tool watch brand. 💪🏽 Another @windupwatchfair in the books! 🙂‍↔️✨ Chicago 2024 was my first Windup. I literally just started with @wornandwound two weeks prior to that fair. It’s safe to say that this specific event is very special to me. When looking back at the last two years, I am filled with immense pride, growth, + gratitude. I’ve immersed myself into a new and passionate community, have made phenomenal friends, + am blessed to have the opportunity to make magic happen along side the best team I’ve ever worked with. 🙏🏽✨ Taking a break, BRB Tuesday. One of the best parts of Windup Chicago was getting to see the Coriolis on so many different wrists. After years of designing the watch and building OraOrea, it was a good reminder of what all of that work was for. Watching someone go from, “What is OraOrea?” to seeing the details click over the course of a few minutes was incredibly rewarding. With inventory arriving very soon, I’m looking forward to seeing more of them out in the world. If the last few months have taught me anything, it’s that the Coriolis is best understood on the wrist.
