Bday wknd hangs 🎈💖🎸🌴💫 Honestly I went into the weekend feeling pretty bleak - birthdays are not a great time for me (I know I’m not alone here 👀) but came out feeling a whole lot better and very grateful for this crazy place and the truly wonderful, kind and resilient people in it 👯‍♀️👯‍♀️👯‍♀️👯‍♀️ A little reminder to myself that following your heart can feel completely insane and scary sometimes, but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t do it. ❤️ LA, you are wild. I’m very glad I’m here. And to anyone having a birthday and feeling kinda weird about stuff: keep dreaming and keep going!!! If you shoot for the moon and end up in the stars, that’s still so much better than never leaving the planet 🛸🌙✨ I feel like you could live with that. ❤️

LISTENING WITH THE EARTH To see a landscape is often to measure and objectify it from a distance. To hear it demands presence, immersion, and intimacy. In dialogue with Donna Haraway, philosopher Vinciane Despret introduced the Phonocene — an era that centers the Earth’s multi-species sonic dimensions as a primary way of knowing. By tuning into the acoustic fabric woven by animals, rivers, atmospheric forces, and bioacoustics, the Phonocene dissolves the boundary between human culture and the living world. It invites us to “think-with” multi-species soundscapes, recognizing non-human entities as active co-creators of the planet’s ongoing history.
