Millie’s second year surfing with us, and it was brilliant to have her back for her third session. She caught plenty of waves on our adaptive seated board, and her face lit up the moment she hit the water.
It was magic getting the whole family involved too.
Our sessions are designed to take the stress out of beach trips for families with children who have disabilities, creating a safe, supported environment where everyone can enjoy the sea together!
Huge thanks to our volunteers and partners @watergatebay @wavehuntersuk

❤️A huge thank you to our Polzeath volunteer team for helping support children and young people throughout our Autumn Surf Therapy courses.❤️

Our Surf Therapy courses run several times a year from beaches across Cornwall including Polzeath Beach.
Our participants then go on to join our surf club sessions, continuing to build confidence, resilience, connection and joy in the waves.

Huge thanks as well to @eraadventures for the brilliant in-water support, and to our incredible community of supporters and fundraisers who make these sessions possible. 💙

Building futures, one wave at a time…

School can be a tough place for lots of reasons, but here @waveprojectuk we know that sometimes, a few waves can be all it takes to spark a fresh perspective on life.

We’re stoked to be working directly with local schools to support students to find their flow - building resilience, friendships and self belief as fundamental foundations of their development.

Because surfing’s cool - and we think school should to be too

There has been an epic run of fun waves for our Surf Clubbers recently!
It’s a privilege seeing many grow in confidence and progress in their surfing.

After completing a 6-week Surf Therapy course children referred to us can choose to keep surfing and join our surf club sessions at locations across Cornwall.

We are always looking for volunteers to help as surf mentors and fundraisers to support these sessions.

If you can help get in touch and sign up via the link in our bio

Big thanks to our surf club member Riley who chose to raise £140 for our Wave Project surf club!!!

As part of a school project Riley was brave enough to abseil down his school building for a whole hour and collected the sponsorship himself from friends and family.

Showing great progression in our surf club, Riley has been surfing regularly and catches some of the longer, most fun looking waves!

About Thursday... The wonderful humans at @sandandpalm are holding a fundraiser for us in Newquay at their Wesley Yard studio from 6-10pm this Thursday 2nd September. We can’t quite believe our luck frankly especially when looking at this sneak peek of the first few silent auction items available on the night kindly donated to us by talented locals 🖤
