This Saturday, after Diamano Coura lights up the Main Stage, they’re bringing that energy to Moving Together, Cheza Nami’s outdoor dance studio, for a FREE West African dance class at 3:00 PM! 🌍💃🏾🕺🏾

For more than five decades, Oakland’s own Diamano Coura has preserved and celebrated West African music, dance, and cultural traditions. Their Saturday classes usually live at Malonga Casquelourd Center for the Arts, but this weekend the drums are coming to Livermore for Taste of Africa!

First steps or fiftieth class, there’s a spot on the floor for you. Come dance with us! 🪘

FOUR DAYS. So let’s talk about your Taste of Africa® game plan. 👀🌍

Are you heading straight to the Main Stage to catch a performance?

Already looking at the Moving Together schedule and deciding which dance class you’re taking?

Planning to make a lap through the marketplace before something you love sells out?

Coming hungry and letting the food court decide the rest? 😂

Or are you bringing the kids straight to Karibu Circle for storytelling, creativity, and a space made especially for them?

One of the things we love most about Taste of Africa® is that everyone gets to experience the day a little differently.

So tell us: what is already on your must-do list?
A performer? A dance class? A vendor? A food you’re looking for? Drop it below. 👇🏾

✿ Harvest Moon Tidings ✿

Autumn 🍂 always feels like the time to take up what serves , filter through and get rid of what doesn’t , make room for the grief that follows releasing & trust in Creator that all is divinely ordained.

Autumn says trust and faith without works is dead so get up and sweep 🧹 out all the cob webs and closets full of physical , emotional, & spiritual baggage and start making room for what is aligned with you!

We are harvesting the seeds we’ve sown and filling our hearts with gratitude 🙏🏾

With a full heart and thankful mind it’s such a blessing to invite sisters to our early spring Women Who Heal Gathering held at a forested-mountain-rustic-riverside retreat in Northern California March 6th-8th

Come heal with sisters & indulge in:

✿ Sauna
✿ Qi Gong
✿ Acupuncture
✿ Tea Ceremonies
✿ Belly beading
✿ Plant based foods
✿ Fiber arts
✿ Dance, play , meditation & yoga

& so much more!

Spaces are limited so lock in early

At this point, we’ve planned our entire festival day around what we’re eating. 😂🍽️

Because “come hungry” is VERY serious business at Taste of Africa®.

We’re talking Jollof Kitchen. Swahili Spot. Bites from Taste of Tanzania. Little Pigs BBQ. Plates coming from across Africa and the Diaspora, and we fully intend to mind everybody’s business at the food court. 😭

The question is not whether you’re eating.

The question is what are you getting first… and what are you going back for? 👀

🍛 Jollof?
🔥 Choma?
🍗 BBQ?
🥘 Tanzanian favorites?

And please do not tell us you’re “just going to get one thing.” We both know better. 😂

Come hungry. Like… actually hungry.
