This is an appreciation post for my late maternal grandmother's (Grace Wangai and Gladys Wandīrī), all my aunts, and the many village women who surrounded me during my childhood at a time when my mother was oceans away. Thank you for the skills you taught me, for the care you showed me, for the culture you instilled in me, and for the love you showered me with. This background has kept me strong, grounded and I am forever in reference of your strength and gentleness. I honor you, I bless you and I am forever grateful for you. Greetings on this beautiful new day. I woke up feeling deeply grateful and rested.

Yesterday, I had the privilege of facilitating a healing beading workshop, and it was truly incredible. I want to extend heartfelt gratitude to everyone who attended and shared in our healing circle. A special thanks to @BijaYoga for providing such a beautiful community space. Much gratitude to San Francisco Arts Commission for sponsering this work @sf_arts_commission

As we navigate these intense realities, we must forge a path forward that benefits us all—lest we succumb to despair. Stay tuned for more workshops focused on both individual and collective healing.

Offering healing arts is one of my strengths, and I am committed to continuing this work because it feels both right and deeply needed. Building healthy communities and relationships begins with the work we do within ourselves.
