INSPIRED BY VINCENT VAN GOGH

A unique addition to the 2027 Queenscliff Art Prize will be a collection of works by artists that have in some way been inspired by Vincent Van Gogh. This addition gallery will be exhibited on both the Queenscliff Pier and the Sth Melbourne Pier over the summer and autumn, concluding at the end of April 2027.

All artists that participate in the open section of 2027 Queenscliff Art Prize are invited to exhibit their own work that has been inspired by Vincent Van Gogh at no additional cost.

We are very pleased to be able to exhibit this innovative selection of works.

What a warm and wonderful night. Exuberance abounded.
Thank you so much to EVERYONE who made it happen and especially to our fabulous 'art family' and the many supporters that enjoyed the occasion.

Heartfelt gratitude for the beautiful book of gallery memories over the decade, collated and produced by Jane Millington and the hours of time she gives to the gallery with passion and the many flowers and gifts.

Thanks to the artists that travelled many hours to join us.

Thanks for the stories and conversations.

Congratulations & thanks for the impressive, diverse art and capturing it @sara_lappe_photography

It is one of our most special exhibitions. Please visit and enjoy it throughout September.

The Hive Gallery in Ocean Grove were visited by Trail coordinator Lou Kennedy & photographer #angelacarrasco, some of the artists were good enough to meet us on-site. Gallery owner Karen has a gift for curating. 10 artists were present last year in the trail, demonstrating how they go about their art and discussing where they get their inspiration. #bellarineartist

My arts column last Friday focused on two exhibitions that are worth a look - one by @steve.salo at @queenscliffgallery an one by @jeffraglus at @boomgallery - due to my tardiness in posting Jeff’s has already closed but Steve’s is still on this week. But be quick, I believe the works are selling fast. I also mentioned a wonderful accolade awarded to my friend @wayneell2 - winner of the Harden Art Prize! Read more in the article 🙏🏼

A favourite work of Wayne Elliott's. This one was the 2025 recipient of the $5,000 Flanagan Art Prize Panel Award.

Seen here in situ with Gordon Lingard's 'Heavy Cloud, No Rain'. Interestingly, Gordon has also interpreted Emily's Gap and this will be shown next month in his new solo exhibition.

Wayne Elliott was one of our original artists when we opened almost ten years ago.
It is so heart warming to see his art practice gaining recognition.
'Looking for Lasseter', a Finalist in the Pro Hart Outback Prize, 2025 is currently hanging at The Hive. A fascinating painting, set over three time zones.
