One of my favourite paintings” Brim”, where I played both football and cricket on the oval . The silos that followed the train line providing the terminal to transport the wheat to market and the landscape a maze of paddocks. “Early morning walk, Port Douglas” will be one of the new works for my next solo exhibition “Great Southern Land” which will open at The Hive Gallery on the 9th January 2027. Excited to be selected as a finalist in the Waverly/Woollahra 9x5 Landscape Art Prize with my artwork “Full Moon Warracknabeal”. The 9×5 Landscape Prize draws its inspiration from the small works by Australian Impressionists such as Arthur Streeton, Tom Roberts, Charles Conder and Frederick McCubbin. It recreates the famous 1889 “9 by 5 Impressionist Exhibition” in Melbourne where these artists painted small works on wooden cigar box lids. #artist #art #colours #contemporaryart #sydneyart by @wayneell2
