I have been here at Dairy Rd for 5 years now - I opened my doors in February 2021. What a time that was to navigate. No idea what I had gotten myself in for with a small business at a new precinct during COVID, but what a blast it has been, pushed me beyond limits and learned so much, about myself and all that running a business entails.

I truly could not have done it or I don’t know if I would have survived as strongly without the community created here by dairy rd. All of my work neighbours are always there with a smile and lift up, although a sole trader I don’t feel alone and am so very grateful to be a part of it all and that I landed here.

Waypoint Tea Co. 🫖

I first discovered @waypointteaco at my doctors, funnily enough. Not the place you'd expect to get tea recommendations, but when you visit @theknowyouco they pour you a cup of tea to enjoy while you have your appointment and I was instanly sold on the Genmaicha; a blend of green tea, roasted rice and matcha. Earthy and delish! Kinda makes you feel like you're a wellness babe while drinking it 🍵 and I'm all for tricking my brain into thinking I'm not actually a coffee addicted raccoon in the afternoons 🤣

I knew I had to buy some for home, so I jumped onto Waypoint Tea's website to order some. I was pleasantly surprised to see they were not only from Canberra but had recently opened a shopfront at @dairy_road.

Delicious and local? Perfection!

The tea shop not only stocks a range of flavoursome teas, but it's a vibe. Think bright, light, and cheerful. It's such a welcoming, calm space.

Waypoint Tea Co. is located in building 3 of the Dairy Road Precinct. It's a bit tricky to find, and Google Maps will decieve you. The best way I can describe how to get there is between @capitalbrewing and the LESS sculpture, in the same building as @canteen_cbr. Message me if you want more details.

Definitely add this one to your Canberra visit list if you are a tea drinker or are looking for a gift for the tea drinker in your life.

We can't believe it’s been a month already since all this fun finished! The #SunflowerMaze has wrapped for 2025, and we’ve loved every golden minute but definitely enjoying some rest (Peppa agrees). 😮‍💨

Massive thanks to everyone who came out, snapped a pic, picniced, picked a flower, or simply got lost with us. Also to the ACT Event Fund for supporting the event through grant funding. And, a special shoutout to our lovely team, suppliers, friends and family. It’s a big community here, and I couldn't have done it without you. 🫶

Now it’s time to rest, recharge and let the birds, bees, cows and chooks work their magic as we begin dreaming up something even better for next year. We can’t wait to share it with you. The meeting will be from 4pm till 6pm on the 30th of March. I’ll be in the space from 3:30pm, so feel free to come pester me a bit earlier.

Coffee machine will be off, but I’ve got some tea from Finn at @waypointteaco , and we’ll have some baked goods. Just bring yourself, maybe a water bottle, and let’s chat books and waste away a Sunday afternoon together!

A year in pictures. And what an amazing year it's been! 🥹🥹🥹

Tomorrow TKYC is 1️⃣! 🤯😱

In that time we have grown to a team of 5️⃣ people (and 1️⃣ hound). We have almost 1️⃣0️⃣0️⃣0️⃣ patients on our books and we have loved getting to know you all...it is such a privilege to walk your health pathways alongside you.

We have made thousands of cups of @waypointteaco tea, and gifted so many TKYC-@luciancandles co-branded candles, as well as other goodies designed by our friends at @formswell_design . We have collaborated with like-minded kickass business like @wildstudiocanberra , @ayla.health , @juniperblooms.au , @d.o.s.e.y , @fellow.studios , @pew.pew.studio , @daniellechesher.health , @capitalhydrotherapy_ and @sownsow . We have created our own merch, thanks to @rojocustoms! 🧢

We have featured in @hercanberra and have been finalised for a @canberrawomeninbusiness award. We have been excited, scared, overwhelmed, energised and exhausted...sometimes all at once.

My eternal gratitude to TKYC team, who make this li'l idea even better than I could have imagined. Thank you for keeping me laser-focused, while entertaining my boundless, some might say impulsive 🫣, big-picture plans.

To our TKYC Community of patients, referrers and supporters: you GUYS! You have created such a beautiful, authentic, human, connected, supportive, curious culture, which has become the core of the Co. We honestly love coming to work everyday thanks to you all.

My beautiful family...you have sacrificed a lot to help me get this of the ground, and not with a scrap of resentment. Because you know that this is something important. I adore you. Thank you for putting up with my crazy working hours, my 11pm flood of ideas and my terribly inaccurate estimates of when I'll be home.

Here's to TKYC'S 1st birthday and many more to come. Oh the places we will go, friends.
