Nobody’s coming to your door. You’ve got to get in the room.

Just back from an incredible networking event in Redbridge and honestly, the richness in that room was something else.

Amazing people. Brilliant conversations. New connections. New opportunities.

And it reminded me of something simple: networking matters.

Don’t wait for opportunities to find you.
Get out there.
Start the conversation.
Introduce yourself.
Say yes to the room.

Because you never know who you’re going to meet, what conversation might spark something, or where that one connection could lead.

Be in the room. Be curious. Be open. Be seen.

Networking is key.

Enjoy the video and if this resonates, tag someone who needs to hear it. 👇🏽

You deserve to be seen and heard .

It is easy to sit back and judge people and their struggles. Many people never truly understand another person’s struggle because it has never been part of their life, their heritage, or their culture.

But if you really want to understand someone’s struggle, begin with their culture. You may not know their childhood and you may not know their full story, but you can start by looking at where they come from. Go back to their history and be open enough to learn.

We cannot judge without reflection. We cannot judge based only on what we see in the present moment. It is important to pause, reflect, and try to understand where people are coming from.

Assumptions based on skin colour or race do not lead to understanding. Real understanding requires effort. It requires a willingness to learn, to question our assumptions, and to look deeper.

If we do not do that work, ignorance quietly sets in. Not always out of hatred, but out of assumption. And assumptions made without reflection prevent true understanding.

Today was a long day, but it was worth it.

God opened doors that I used to walk past not because I was afraid, but because I assumed they were not meant for me.

Walking in faith without knowing what’s ahead can feel daunting. But the support and encouragement from others truly bless me.

Knowing that people are cheering you on can make such a difference.
I’m sharing this to encourage someone today: please don’t give up.

Take a moment to support someone. Share your friend's business. Like, share, comment — it’s free, but it can mean the world to someone building something.

And to someone out there… your time is now.

#Gratitude for yesterday’s Healing Table Supper 🤍

We shouted.
We laughed.
We breathed.
We paused.
We took a moment for ourselves.

There were tears of joy and tears of relief — and space for all of it.

To the ladies who joined me for the Healing Table International Women’s Supper, thank you for honouring the invitation.

Thank you for choosing to spend time with yourself, and for spending time with me. I pray and hope you were inspired by the person next to you, by those who shared, and simply by being present in the room.

I hope you enjoyed the space, the energy, the conversations, and the freedom to just be.

A special shout-out to @sanmarinoleytonstone thank you for welcoming us and for giving us a space to eat and be, to drink and laugh.

Wishing all the ladies a beautiful International Women’s Month — because we don’t do a day, we do the whole month.

With love,

The Healing Table 🤍
