“From the outside looking in, you can’t understand it, and from the inside looking out, you can’t explain it”

3 years ago a mentor of mine forced me to submit an application to what I thought was a silly orientation program. Now after 3 amazing camps I am having to say a difficult goodbye to one of the most meaningful experiences of my life. I could not have asked for a greater finale than Taunton. Y’all have become a second family to me and I could not be more proud of the people that I get to surround myself with. Finish it off with a bang ‼️

The first of many lasts and the hardest goodbye to the org that has changed my life for the better.

I couldn’t have asked for a better goodbye than with @tauntonjahari. There aren’t enough words to describe the immense gratitude and love I have for each of yall and our freshman. I not only now have 26 best friends, but also a family.

The purple room has seen me grow from a quiet freshman, to an excited but nervous first year, to confidently heading into my senior year full of indescribable gratitude for this organization. A piece of my heart will always be in the purple room and cabin A4. And couldn’t think of a better way of saying goodbye than winning the yell off. 💜

To the people that make the place…

There truly is nothing like Fish Camp, and I can attribute that entirely to the people who have shaped this experience. From not attending as an incoming freshman to being blessed with the opportunity to serve as a counselor for the past three years, it’s a testament to just how special and unique this organization is.

Each year, Fish Camp has somehow managed to become even more meaningful, and this special group that I got to spend my last summer of college with truly takes the cake. From Rev Night to the very last day of camp, they’ve been a constant reminder of why I love fish camp and this university so dearly.

To go from strangers with different stories, personalities, and backgrounds to becoming a family unlike any other is what makes this place so special. This group will always have a place in my heart, and I’m incredibly grateful to spend my final year at A&M alongside them.

Thank you, Camp Taunton, for giving me people I’ll cherish for a lifetime. You all mean the world to me, and I hope these past few months are only the beginning of many more incredible memories together long after college. Fish camp does change lives, and it has changed mine.

I think I might’ve gone a little overboard on the tattoos…
But genuinely Camp Taunton and the people in it will forever hold a special place in my heart. I am eternally grateful for the people I met through Fish Camp, and being SESSION E YELL OFF CHAMPS is a pretty big plus! I love you Camp Taunton 💜💜
