In sports medicine, we treat sprains, fractures, and concussions. But we also see the injuries you can’t see. Depression. Anxiety. Burnout. Performance pressure. Athletes are conditioned to push through pain — and that mindset can make it harder to speak up about mental health struggles. Suicide prevention in athletics starts with: ✔️ Screening for mental health ✔️ Normalizing conversations ✔️ Multidisciplinary care ✔️ Safe return-to-play discussions ✔️ Checking in beyond the injury Mental health is health. And treating the whole athlete is our responsibility. If you or someone you know is struggling, reach out to a licensed professional or your local crisis support line. #SportsMedicine #AthleteMentalHealth #SuicidePrevention #WholeAthleteCare #timeoutwiththesportsdr

There was a time I thought I could just keep going… producing, performing, pushing. But you can’t pour endlessly without ever pouring back into yourself. 💛✨ High performance isn’t just about hustle — it’s about recovery. Not the kind athletes do… but the kind your life needs. Now I remind myself: “Rest is part of the work.” For some, it’s meditation. For others, it’s a walk, music, dancing, or just breathing in a quiet room. Whatever helps you return to yourself — schedule it, honor it, protect it. 🙏🏼 🎧 https://bit.ly/TimeOut207 🎥 https://youtu.be/e6Y2qpvuJRU #SpeakLife #FaithInAction #MindsetMatters #PurposeInProcess #AffirmationsWork #GodsPlan #FaithOverFear
