I sat with 26 young people and 8 staff in the African American Museum talking about value, purpose, and gratitude.

As I introduced myself as “one of the founders,” I was reminded that titles don’t matter. What matters is what these young people experience, the relationships they build, and who they become because someone believed in them.

Ten years later, I’m still convinced the most powerful thing we can do is help a young person see their own worth.

The program ends in four weeks. The impact won’t.

Grateful for every young person, every family, every staff member, and every person who has walked this journey with us.

We are indeed, excellence. #LinkinBio

Seattle. We didn’t gather to talk about JAŸ-Z.

We gathered to talk about ourselves.

Forty-five men.

One album.

No phones.

No conversation.

Just listening.

The most surprising thing happened the next morning.

Several people told me the same thing.

“The hardest part was not being able to call someone who was there… because no one else would understand.”

One guest said it felt like…

“A concert the world should have been to.” - @charlesdizonhomes

That stayed with me.

Because that’s exactly what The Listening Room is.

It’s difficult to explain.

Not because nothing happens.

Because something does.

The Listening Room isn’t built to be watched.

It’s built to be experienced.

If you’ve been waiting…

There are only 10 seats remaining in each of the next two rooms.

PORTLAND · July 19
Frank Ocean — channel ORANGE

SEATTLE · July 26
Solange — A Seat at the Table

I’ll see you in the room.

Tickets are available through the link in my bio.

Leadership isn't just about setting the vision—it's about showing up.

At the 2025 Day of Excellence Fun Run, our founders, board members, and ACE Academy team laced up their shoes and joined the community in support of Black boys and young men. Their commitment extends far beyond the office, demonstrating what it means to lead by example.

As we prepare for the 2026 Day of Excellence, we're grateful for the leaders who continue to invest their time, energy, and passion into our mission.

This room sold out. And it didn’t build itself.

In recognition of Men’s Mental Health Month, a community of partners came together to produce an evening for forty-five men, 🔥lit, intentional, and built around presence.

On Juneteenth, I was both training athletes and being honored—walking fully in purpose on and off the field. I’m incredibly grateful to be recognized in the exhibit “History Lives Here: The Power of Community and Commitment” at the Northwest African American Museum (@naamnw) for the work we’ve been doing through @warrior.acad .

Through this journey, I’ve had the privilege of working with both athletes and non-athletes—impacting lives beyond workouts, beyond training, beyond drills, and far beyond the game of football. This work has always been about transformation, not trophies. It’s about changing the course of people’s lives, building confidence, creating opportunities, and helping individuals see their full potential.

Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine being featured in a museum exhibit. I’m humbled, honored, and deeply thankful. Thousands of lives have already been touched—and there are still so many more to go.

Thank you to @maineventmarcus for telling part of my story, and to my village—my family—for laying the foundation that allows me to carry my grandfather’s legacy forward through this game and this calling.

Impact Over Influence is more than a motto—it’s our mission. I hope this inspires others to lead with heart, take bold risks, and commit to building something that truly matters.

Still unreal! On Juneteenth 2025, a dream 8 years in the making came to life. What started as words to honor unsung heroes is now History Lives Here: The Power of Community & Commitment — living and breathing at @naamnw.

To stand in that space… to see the faces and feel the stories reflected back ,it’s beyond words. Deep thanks to @riseupforstudents, @mhgreen3000, @nalmerico, and every single soul whose light I’ve been blessed to witness and now share. You are living history.

Yesterday was just the beginning. Stay tuned. Pull up. Share it. Feel it. 🙏🏾
