🐶 🍷 ☀️ SAVE for a weekend in Sonoma 🐶🍷
“Sonoma is a perfect weekend getaway from the Bay Area, and it’s so dog-friendly! This is what we would recommend if we only had a couple of days for a visit:

🚲 Explore the area by bike with @vineandvista and their dog-friendly side cars. This is one of our favorite activities, and such a unique way to explore wine country! Half day and full day rentals are available, as well as guided tours 🐶 /hosted

🍣 Stop for brunch at @saltandstonekenwood 🍹 They have a large dog-friendly patio with plenty of shade for the summer months.

🍷 Take time for a wine tasting at Landmark Vineyards. They have locations in Kenwood and Healdsburg and both are dog-friendly! The property is beautiful and the wine is amazing. Thank you @landmarkwine for hosting us ❤️

😴 We recommend Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn as a home base. It’s one of the most dog-friendly hotels we’ve experienced, allowing dogs poolside and at their restaurant. @fairmontsonoma /hosted

Carmel is one of the most dog-friendly places we’ve ever visited and always our favorite place to travel with Chloe. Dogs are welcome in most shops, many restaurant patios, and there are many experiences you can share with your pup! Here are the highlights:

🎥: @we.wander.west

Activities:
🚲 Bike riding along the coast with an e-bike and sidecar from @maddogsbikeshop
🌊 Running along Carmel Beach, a dog-friendly off-leash beach
🍽️ Dining at one of the many dog-friendly restaurants in Carmel

Our top picks:
@elbistrobythesea
Little Napoli (@chefpepecarmel )
@detierravineyards
@carmelvalleycoffee
@alvaradostreetbrewery

Hotel:
We stayed at the most adorable dog-friendly cottage. It was the perfect place to end the day and wind down for a good night’s rest after a busy day of exploring with Chloe. We were also walking distance to many of the shops and restaurants we visited during our stay. @horizoninncarmel

We highly recommend a visit to Carmel with your dog! Which activity are you trying first?

2025 Waterfall Wednesday / Rancheria Falls

Happy Early Waterfall Wednesday to all of you who enjoy finding new waterfalls in your home state when you travel somewhere new or in a different country. Waterfalls have a unique way of allowing you to escape the pains, struggles, fears, and stresses of our daily lives because they allow us to relax, find a real calmness, and allow us to take it all in when we can. Waterfalls like Rancheria Falls (150 feet) in Yosemite National Park are some of those waterfalls that make these things happen and so much more. Which waterfall is your favorite to visit in the spring? What is your favorite waterfall memory?

It is important that we remember to stay on the marked trails, do not overcrowd the trails, leave no trace that we were even there, do your best preserve these beautiful and scenic places for as long as we can, and most of all protect these places and sights for the future generation to enjoy and fall in love with as much as we have. We need to make sure these beautiful waterfalls last a long time after us. Why are these steps so important? How can you practice leaving no trace?

Photo credit, inspiration, and experiences go out to @pathloom and @missjulie, thank you so much for allowing us to take a few steps in your shoes to see what you see, experience what your experienced, and just be there with you when we cannot be there to experience and see them for ourselves. We appreciate you, and we can't wait to see what you do next. I hope to be able to join you during your next adventures.
