Real progress 📈 in autism care depends on dedicated leaders who stand up for children and families, in practice 🧑‍⚕️ and public policy ⚖️.

LEARN Behavioral is proud to recognize Dr. Rebecca Thompson, recipient of @wisaba_'s "Outstanding Contributions to the Field of ABA in Wisconsin" award.

From her early work in diagnostics and ABA service delivery at @weap.aba to her leadership with LEARN in state and federal advocacy, Rebecca has spent more than 25 years moving the field forward and promoting policies that support children with autism. Her contributions reflect a deep commitment to keeping the needs and voices of those we serve front and center.

As she steps into her new role as Director of Government Affairs at @casproviders, we applaud this milestone and look forward to our ongoing collaboration on behalf of communities nationwide.

Congratulations, Rebecca, on this well-deserved honor and on the difference you continue to make. 💕

#SullySunday

Sully stopped by the @weap.aba (WEAP) in Beloit, which celebrated the ribbon cutting for its new Learning Center a while back.

WEAP provides autism services for kids and families, including early intervention, ABA therapy, social skills programs, and parent education.

It’s always exciting to see organizations like this choose Beloit and bring more services closer to home for families in our community.

Thank you to the entire WEAP team for setting up in Beloit and investing in our kids!

Alec and Moe Part 1 🥹💚🥰A few weeks back, @stoddardmaureen posted a vid on @tiktok about her nephew, Alec, who has many debilitating health issues including epilepsy, cerebral palsy, and non-verbal autism. Apparently he is my biggest fan and my videos make him happy and help calm him down. He also texts my name to people as a greeting to contacts in his mom’s phone. 😂

As a helper and a former line therapist for Wisconsin Early Autism Project this meant the world to me to find out and to be honest it made me tear up a bit. I was so inspired by Alec I immediately wrote him a rap response video (it was midnight when I saw this) and found a way to get back into my tiktok (my account was suspended after I deleted the app during the ban but I was able to log in on a laptop—only mentioning because Moe’s fans had to reach me through my website lol). So Alec was able to wake up the next day to the video I made and Moe posted a response video that warmed my heart even more.

I edited our interaction together to remind myself why I still do this. I’m a fan of Alec and hope to meet him one day! Also go follow @mightymoe69 on tiktok, she’s a rad auntie!

A win is a win 💯👏🏾🙏🏾

So proud this little dude walked the ENTIRE skywalk at @childrenswi earlier after an appointment and I could not be more HYPED!!

Usually it's the carrying of him PLUS the heavy bag with all our stuff in it and I'm out of breath before the appointment even starts. Today didn't start out great but was a success in the end! 💜💫

Love him always, learning, advocating, & growing 🫶🏾♾️

Some things we noticed that was different from when his sister was a toddler (she also had delays but due to medical issues & she was still advancing & outgrew them).

Let me know if any of these resonate with you 💜🙏🏾 this journey can be so isolating , I've found community on social media & in local groups. I know how you feel, I know you're scared, but it's going to be okay, tap into every resource you can. I have two folders going so far and we're only about a year in a half into this.

So much I've learned, so much more to go..advocacy never stops in this house. Not for me, not for Audrina and not for Carter.

I stand behind this little boy 10 toes down always. 💯🙏🏾 So happy that this journey has also brought me to so many new friends & connections, if you're an autism parent reach out & let's connect! 🫶🏾
