Here on @weare_offtherails we are all about getting women to big themselves up so when @iamalisonperry chatted with @romeshranga recently at @bbcradio2 In The Park, she got him to tell us what he loves about his wife Leesa. We loved what he had to say about the importance of running a family and how we often undervalue it. We can’t quite believe that this has happened. A few months ago, Off The Rails existed only on the pages of our notebooks, our heads and a spreadsheet. Now, two months on from launching, we have been booked by a brand to film some content for them. We are pinching ourselves that we get to lift up midlife women and call it work. We have such an amazing time out and about filming together, meeting incredible women. Whatever it is you’ve been telling yourself you “can’t” or “shouldn’t” wear. I wore a bikini for the first time in over 20 years recently and realised I’d spent so much of my life hiding my body and feeling ashamed of it. I was holding myself up against impossible standards and waiting for a different body before I gave myself permission to fully enjoy my life. Not anymore. This summer I’m calling a ceasefire on my body. No more hiding. No more missing out on the memories because I’m worrying about my belly rolls. What happens when two people who follow each other on Instagram meet in real life to try on outfits?!
