What a day at Minnewaska 🍂

Yesterday 24 of our EJS x CHAZAK Young Professionals traded the city for the mountains. Peak fall colors, crystal lakes, and views that remind you just how big Hashem’s world is.

But the best part wasn’t the summit. It was the people. New friendships, real conversations, and a community that climbs together.

Thank you to all of you who came out. This is just the beginning, so stay tuned for the next one! ⛰️

Before you assume the worst

You invite a friend to your simcha and they don’t show up. It hurts, and the mind jumps straight to “he doesn’t care about me.” But maybe something happened. Maybe they forgot, misunderstood, or were going through something hard.

Giving someone the benefit of the doubt doesn’t mean pretending you weren’t hurt. It means not rushing to the harshest conclusion before you know what actually happened.

Say it honestly: “I was disappointed you weren’t there. It mattered to me.” Then give them room to explain, and if needed, to apologize. Love makes room for that conversation.

“Judge every person favorably” (Pirkei Avot 1:6).

We don’t “believe” or have “faith”. Emunah is much deeper.
