A little update from Barcelona! 🇪🇸

We’re currently spending time with the team at @wearepau Coworking as part of the @creativehubsnet (ECHN) Staff Exchange Program.

And while there’s a lot to learn from seeing how another creative hub operates, we’re equally enjoying the conversations in between, the people we’re meeting, and the chance to experience a different working culture firsthand.

It’s not every day you get to step outside your usual routine and become part of someone else’s for a while.

Here’s a little glimpse of our days so far. 🥣
More to come! 💙

Barcelona called, and we had a pretty good reason to answer. 🇪🇸🥣

This week, we’re visiting @wearepau, as part of the @creativehubsnet (ECHN) #StaffExchangeProgram, an initiative that gives creative hub professionals the opportunity to step into each other’s workplaces, experience their day-to-day operations, and explore different approaches to the challenges we share.

For us, it’s a chance to take a closer look at how things work behind the scenes, ask questions we don’t usually get to ask, and rethink some of the things we do every day.

We’ll be sharing a little of what happens along the way, from the conversations worth having to the discoveries worth taking home.

Barcelona, here we go! 💙

On Saturday 27 June, we welcome Roxanne Harris for Kneading Patterns: Live Coding in Strudel, a beginner-friendly workshop exploring Strudel as a browser-based live coding environment for making musical patterns with code.
Using the metaphor of kneading dough, participants will learn how small musical ideas can be shaped, stretched, folded, layered, and transformed over time. We’ll move through the basics of Strudel’s pattern language, explore rhythm and repetition, experiment with live transformations, and learn how to bring sounds into Strudel using built-in samples and imported audio.

By the end of the workshop, participants will be able to create basic Strudel patterns, understand cycles and mini-notation, use sample banks, work with external sounds, and perform a short evolving live-coded musical sketch.
No previous experience required.

Bring a laptop and headphones.
No installation needed.

🗓️ Date: 27 June 2026
⏰ Time: 11:00–13:00 / 14:00–18:00
🏟️ Venue: PAU, Ronda de Sant Pau 47, Barcelona
💲 Price: 80€ (Very limited spots)

**Just announced - our final talk of the Summer (until September!)**

#Psychedelics are everywhere right now. In the news, in Silicon Valley, in your podcast feed. MDMA for treating PTSD. Psilocybin for treating depression. But behind those headlines is a decade of serious clinical research that most people know almost nothing about.

What do the trials actually show? What happens inside a therapy session? And why are the results making mainstream psychiatry uncomfortable?

In this #GrowthLabLIVE session clinical researcher, Marc Aixala, discusses the most intense psychological experiences a human being can have, the latest clinical study results and some of the practical frameworks for what comes next.

Why do some goals light you up while others die the moment you write them down? Why does a robot programmed to "want" things behave nothing like a human who actually does? Is there, in-fact, a mathematical law behind curiosity?

At our next #growthlablive we're sitting down with one of Barcelona's leading computational neuroscientists, professor Rubén Moreno-Bote, to break open the science of motivation in a way that's genuinely useful.

Last week, we gathered at @wearepau for a different kind of afterwork, an anti-afterwork designed to invite pause, reflection, creative thinking and meaningful connection.

Together, we went into a journey of exploration and created a space to step away from the usual ideas around professionalism and working life, to rethink what work means:

what does it truly mean to build work that aligns with who we are?

Through shared conversations and guided reflection, we explored the intersection of our talents, interests, values, and the kind of life we want to lead, not just professionally, but as whole individuals.

It was an opportunity to reconnect with intention, challenge conventional narratives around productivity, and consider more sustainable, fulfilling ways of working and living in a world that’s changing fast.

Thank you to everyone who joined this experience and contributed to it!

📸 @debajodelcipres - thanks so much for capturing it so nicely
